Not at all! The welding process is quick, painless, and completely safe. A small spark fuses the chain together, and we use a protective barrier to ensure your skin is never in contact with the welder.

What if I need to remove my jewelry?

If you need to remove your permanent jewelry, simply cut it at the small welded ring with scissors or nail clippers. Keep your chain, and we can re-weld it for a small fee.

Can I wear my jewelry through TSA/ security?

Yes! Permanent jewelry is TSA-friendly and will not set off metal detectors.

Is it waterproof?

Yes! You can shower, swim, and exercise with your jewelry. However, exposure to chemicals (like chlorine or lotions) may affect the shine over time.

What if my jewelry breaks?

If your jewelry breaks at the weld spot, please keep the chain and bring it back with you— repairs are always free for returning Ritzy Rose customers. We will always attempt to repair it; however, in some cases a replacement chain may be recommended.
