Local Urgent & Emergency Care

FCMS is the provider of urgent care and out of hours GP services for Morecambe & Lancaster, the Fylde Coast, and some areas in North Lancashire. They also help run the Urgent Treatment Centre in Morecambe.

If you become unwell or require a GP during the out of hours period (6pm-8am on weekdays, all-day weekends & public holidays), you can contact NHS 111 who can then refer you for a telephone or face-to-face appointment with FCMS.

FCMS

Cumbria Health, previously known as Cumbria Health on Call (CHOC), are the local provider of Out of Hours GP services across Cumbria.

If you become unwell or require a GP during the out of hours period (Mon-Fri 6pm to 8am, all day weekends and bank holidays) during a break away to the Lake District or anywhere in Cumbria, you can contact NHS 111 who can refer you to Cumbria Health. After being referred to Cumbria Health, you will be contacted by an experienced triage nurse who may forward your details for a face to face appointment at one of their local treatment centres.

The local treatment centres run by CHOC can be found at Barrow-in-Furness, Carlisle, Kendal, Whitehaven, and Wigton.
