DUE: 11:59PM Friday, February 6th 2026 Mission Statement: SHaRC seeks to acknowledge and confront the crisis of substance abuse in Philadelphia through meaningful education and clinical volunteer outreach. We understand how stressful club applications can be, and as a service organization, we believe that everyone who is willing to commit should have the opportunity to become involved. Dear Harm Reduction Supporter, We need your help to get HB1515 passed by the PA Legislature before the end of session. HB1515 would expand options for medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) to allow for ALL forms of MOUD in county jails. Currently the state funding provided to county jails only allows for naltrexone (Vivitrol). County jails and people who are incarcerated want and need access to all FDA-approved forms of MOUD! HB1515 passed the PA House 199-4, but is still awaiting action in the Senate Judiciary Committee. The Senate must pass this lifesaving legislation before the end of this legislative session (mid-November) Please take action and urge Senate Judiciary Chair Lisa Baker and Senate Majority Leader Joe Pittman to move HB1515 to the full Senate for a vote before the end of session!
