NYU Tisch School of the Arts Special Programs delivers arts education through both degree and non-degree pathways across multiple creative disciplines. The Media Producing MA program, co-founded by John Tintori and Joe Pichirallo, trains producers for film, television, and emerging media roles. This division operates from NYU's Manhattan campus, connecting students directly to New York City's entertainment industry ecosystem. The Special Programs portfolio includes Open Arts undergraduate and graduate courses, Summer High School intensives, and general Summer Sessions. Students can study drama under Assistant Dean Krystle M. H. Papa, along with film, dance, photography, and recorded music tracks. These flexible enrollment options allow participants to engage with Tisch's curriculum without committing to full degree programs. The curriculum integrates creative training with production management and entertainment business fundamentals. Programs maintain direct connections to working professionals and active production companies. Participants gain hands-on experience with current industry tools and workflows while building professional networks in their chosen disciplines.
