Paul Seling ( aka Youthopian ) is a a musician with a solid classical music background and a strong affinity for electronic music production . He started making music in the late `90s, mostly geared towards the underground, as he defines himself as an experimentalist who makes no compromise when it comes to putting his artistic vision into musical form. While starting writing chillout and downtempo back in the early `00s , he gradually fell in love with the `80s revival scene, and integrated more and more of these influences. This lead after a few years of experimentation to the creation of the "Youthopian" alias which is dedicated exclusively to genres like synthwave, chillwave, retrowave or chillsynth. In the end, the music written under the Youthopian alias remains true to the cyberpunk philosophy, of mixing technology and the human touch in order to express the most complex abilities of human potential, and Youthopian manages to push those boundaries a bit further.
