Moving between multiple moving projects, Zahra searches for interconnectedness within “otherness”. A graduate from Purchase College Art + Design, Zahra Lahrache is a multi-disciplinary artist who explores personal themes of mood disorders, comorbidity, queerness, and feelings of societal “otherness”. Working intuitively with a broad range of materials, Zahra explores these themes by taking experiences of marginalization, stigma, and difference, by embracing the feelings of otherness and transforming them into visual forms of resistance.
