The Maryland Pork Producers Association is a grassroots organization that serves as producers’ voice in Annapolis. Your membership funds allow us to have good representation and provide a number of benefits to you! Pork producers, pork businesses, and youth are welcome to join our association. Here to Serve Pork Producers
In 2025 the Maryland Pork Producers:
- Attended the Maryland Department of Agriculture’s buyer-grower event
- Hosted an online pig sale directed at 4-H and FFA members
- Shared quarterly newsletters for producers and consumers
- Partnered with the National Pork Board to promote pork at minor league baseball games across Maryland
- Worked with Maryland Farm & Harvest to highlight hog farmers and share cooking techniques with consumers
- Attended National Pork Board and National Pork Producers Council meetings, working alongside other state organizations
- Represented growers at the Maryland Farm Bureau Convention with a delegate
- Had a display in the ULearn Center at the Maryland State Fair and provided pork tastings
- Sponsored county 4-H swine shows
- Hosted an annual meeting for members including speakers from the Maryland Department of Agriculture and the National Pork Board
