#105 – Outerwear Series: The Trench Coat

The third post in this series features the trench coat, a staple for the Fall season. The trench coat is a must-have in any wardrobe, keeps you warm while still looking stylish and cool. This trench coat comes from LEVENCHY, which is no longer available, but there are lots of other places which sell it. I wear my trench coat as-is, maybe adding a scarf over at times.

#67 – Heavy Metal Part 3

This is the final part to the Heavy Metal trilogy! Gosh it sounds like some movie haha. This editorial features mainly accessories, mostly gold ones, if you’ve noticed from the previous two parts.
I’m wearing the Sleepi hair from pr!tty this time, and I like how it looks sultry with one of the eyes covered. Makes for a good i-D magazine cover, no? The classic trench coat comes from a slightly older label, L E V E N C H Y. While I’ve linked you guys to the Marketplace store for the label, the trench coat cannot be found there. If you guys are really interested, do contact the creator, Francky (franciscoleveque) for purchase.
If you remember, I blogged the Greek key bracelet from {T.O.D} in the previous post, and mentioned that it was a Penumbra Fashion Week gift that’s not available anymore. And sadly, the rings come from the same gift bag and are not available too. The cool star studs ring is also unavailable, as it was a hunt gift from about last year or two years ago, I can’t really remember. You guys should still go visit Studio AKINI, they do really detailed accessories like rings and bracelets for both men and women, very cool.
This necklace though, is part of a bag of freebies that is available at the IAF mainstore (yes, there’s something that’s still available in this post, thank goodness!). The gift bag contains clothes and accessories that I’m sure you guys can find the right occasion to wear them.

I had only one goal for this outfit: to look like Poison Ivy. By taking reference from a whole lot of images, I tried to match the colors of the key elements such as the hair by pr!tty, as well as the Mindbury makeup. This beautiful dress with the leaf-motif by Levenchy replaces the usual bodysuit, while the sixboi’s platforms replaces the boots she wears.

I was particularly inspired by Victoria Beckham for this shoot. I guess it’s kinda obvious when the hair gives it all away, haha. First I started by thinking to myself, what would I wear if I were her while still retaining my personality?

I knew that a dress would be too cliche, and I opted for clean separates. With those already decided, next I matched the shoes with the Bea Strap Heels by Elysium, which had a loud print yet still rather simple in terms of design. The handbag by Amarelo Manga was also chosen because of its toned down, neutral look. The ring by Baubles was picked to match the leopard print on the shoes!

This is my first time working with Dylan Dorival and he did an amazing job with the photos! I gave him really vague instructions on the style I wanted to capture in the shots: ‘Make me look like Victoria Beckham’, and he did exactly what I asked for! Thanks so much, Dylan!

I think it’s time for me to finally try becoming a bada** however much this look might not suit my style haha. I went for a monochromatic look, which started with the black and white striped top by The Hellish Diva and styled the rest around it. I kept the bottom simple with Levenchy’s navy skinnies and studded loafers by Cashmere&Keane, which unfortunately is now closed. Black lipstick is a must, including the hairstyle with a shaved side from little bones.

Thanks to Jackson for these lovely photos and also recommending this amazing sim called Dead End. You might wanna know that it’s a roleplay sim with some adult stuff before you head over. Once you enter the city, it might seem dull and unappealing but explore the place further and you’ll find great locations for photography. Oh, and if you look up at the sky, you might catch the Aurora Borealis too!

#11 – Your Favorite Song

Blonde high-heeled feminist, enlisting femmes for this. Express your womankind, fight for your right. – Lady Gaga, Scheiße

This is one of my favorite songs from her third studio album, Born This Way. It talks about female empowerment, and wanting to be a strong female without the nonsense that comes along. The song resonates with me very strongly since I constantly like to prove that even women can be as strong as men, power to the girls is what I love. Hence for this shoot, I decided to dress myself as a strong female, after taking inspiration mainly from Meryl Streep’s character in The Devil Wears Prada.

I imagine myself as the CEO of a company, or even being the owner. A strong female like me is able to rise up to the top and show that she’s the best, while still being revered by her employees. And that’s a female this song inspires me to be.

#07 – I Love Paris

Whenever I think of Paris, I get whisked to a world of romance and fashion. Paris is one of the world’s most iconic fashion capitals, with big events like Fashion Week being held there. What I really like about Paris Fashion Week is not the shows, but the street styles of models, bloggers and people from the industry.

I get very fascinated with the way they style themselves and hence for this particular shoot I was very inspired to recreate the Paris Street Style. Just like during Paris Fashion Week, I imagine myself walking on the streets of Paris, heading from one venue to another for the next fashion show when someone stops to take a photo of me. I’ve chosen a more relaxed style and accessorised my look with a hat to shield myself from the sun, and of course, the it bag (a must for every fashionista)!

Alright guys, I need to hurry to my next show now, it’s Alexander McQueen and I’m glad I’m appropriately dressed in tartan. I hope you like my Paris Street Style!
