FAQ’s

Q: Can I customize the veggies in my box?
A: No. We are not able to accommodate individual orders.

Q: How much food is it?
A: It varies from week to week but should be enough for a side dish each night for a family of four, or a meal a day for a pair.

Q: How long will my veggies last in the fridge?
A: Veggies should typically keep for 10-14 days in the fridge, if stored in plastic bags/Tupperware container. Keep mushrooms in provided paper bag (to allow for gas exchange and maintain moisture/freshness). Eggs are good for a solid two months in the fridge if not longer (that’s fresh!!!)

Q: Can I split the CSA?
A: Sure! But we do not sell half CSAs. It will be your responsibility to find someone to split it with you. Considering how long the veggies last, we recommend alternating box pick-up (so you get a box every other week) as opposed to splitting it.

Q: Is the money refundable?
A: No. Most of the time (and the idea of a CSA is…) the money from CSA payments is what gets us into the season. That money could turn into seeds, fertilizer, labor, mushroom spawn, packaging, the possibilities are endless! We truly appreciate and value our CSA customers!!!

Q: What if I go out of town/can’t pick up box?
A: If you cannot pick up your boxes, it will be up to you to find someone that can, and hopefully someone who will eat the veggies! We will be delivering the same amount of boxes each week. You will need to make arrangements otherwise (friend? Neighbor? Family member?) for someone to enjoy your veggies while out of town.

Q: What should I do with the box/egg cartons?
A: We would love for you to save them and get them back to us! Tidal Creek Co-op has a place to leave old boxes or you can drop them at the farm! We do reuse them so if you’re able to stash them aside and drop them back off at your pickup location that would be marvelous!
