Sorry for the late reply. Over the past 6–7 years, I’ve gone through this phase many times where, even after searching for 4–5 weeks, I still can’t find any anime that feels genuinely interesting. Sometimes I start something that seems promising, but either immediately or after a few episodes I start losing interest.
Usually after a while I end up finding some good shows again and things go back to normal. But for the last 3–4 months it’s been much worse. I’ve barely been able to watch any anime because nothing feels interesting enough to stick with, and most of what I try ends up getting dropped.
Because of that, I barely even open MyAnimeList these days.

Yeah about that, i recently watched The Irresponsible Captain Tylor, and my feelings about it are a bit mixed. The beginning was genuinely strong...very entertaining and quite funny, which immediately pulled me in. However, as the story progressed, the character development didn’t really go in the direction I was hoping for.
I expected Tylor to gradually evolve into a brilliant strategist, but the show kept confusing me about what it actually wanted him to be. At first he seemed simply lucky, then sometimes accidentally genius, and later the show tried to portray him as an actual genius. Because of that inconsistency, it became hard for me to fully understand the character.
The story also occasionally felt a bit too silly or dumb for my taste, which made the overall experience somewhat uneven. By the end, I wasn’t entirely sure how I felt about the show.
That said, I can definitely see why some people enjoy it. If you’re able to overlook some of the nonsense and just have fun with it, it can still be a pretty entertaining ride.
On the positive side, it did make me more interested in space anime. I recently started watching Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2199, and I’m currently on episode 14. So far, it’s honestly feeling like one of the best space anime I’ve seen.

While I enjoyed the Anime and found it funny, I felt a little uncomfortable with how often it showed children suffering for comedic effect. I watched it with my brother and we would often joke saying "another child to the slaughter" when it happened.

Pretty much everything. The characters and their motivations, the stories it tells and the way it tells them, the music and animation, the imagery, the voice acting, etc. The show captivated me from beginning to end through a beautiful execution of all the things I mentioned.

around the 20 episode mark i grew more and more tired because most of part 4 is kinda boring imo, BUT i was dedicated so i continued to watch till the end XD

i would say around 18-20 minutes, yes. It was part 4 of jojos bizzare adventure. I had heard so much good things about part 5 that made me excited for it so i wanted to finish part 4 as fast as possible.
