Hi! I'm fine, not much happens, I try to keep up with studying and assignments. The deadlines are lenient but I shouldn't let this fool me.

It's very good! The best word for it is "artistic". I like how they come up with little surprises every episode. That random explosion was my favorite, nobody expected it, haha! I agree with your favorites, Miyako is best. But Yuno is close second. Also, good to see Oreki there.

Thanks, for me it's a whole lot less stressful to write notes rather than writing reviews. But I do put some effort into writing them. Speaking of reviews, Holy Hearts seems to be a more obscure manga. Those are always cool when you find a good one (if you can find a place to even read it in full) Maybe you should write a review once you're finished. Since those are the type of series that need em. Just an idea though.

It's a good idea to have a large PTR section on MAL. Anytime I find anything remotely interesting I save it. Really ticks people off for some reason. So you keep them on pen and paper?
Here the Pokemon issues are generally pretty cheap as well. I just don't like spending money is all. Might buy the mystery dungeon manga though. Since to my knowledge there are no scans of it online despite being officially translated to English. I might be wrong but just couldn't find it.
For my personal life, it's all sunshine and rainbows you know. I've just been finishing up the two longer series I started last year. Finished Billy Bat but haven't finished Arms yet. The challenge seems to be going fine. Not too worried about the deadline.

I thought it was good, pretty entertaining, and well-drawn/animated; although the jokes started to get repetitive, I still thought it was fun.

Have you watched non-anime WW2 stuff like Tora! Tora! Tora! or Bridge Too Far? Both of those are pretty good, I'd say

No problem. I went up and signed up for that 2026 reading challenge. This years seems pretty similar but a lot bigger. Based on those tarot card things.
Thought it would be a good tool to expand my manga spread, get out of the comfort zone a bit.
My backlog is pretty big, usually I just add manga I find interesting even if I don't plan to read it just this second. I think it's better that way.
For one of my entries on that challenge I needed to find a manga that began publishing on the day I joined MAL the 8th. Out of like 180 entries only 2 of them were applicable. So good thing I was hoarding them.

Yeah, it's been a while but I remember Trigun being pretty fun

Your profile says historical as a favorite genre, can you give examples?

Weebcentral is the site. Instead of 1 chapter per web page it's like the entire volume that you scroll through. All in HD though.
If I ever do collect manga volumes I think Pokemon Special would be my first.

Don't know too much about Minekura, I kind of assumed they were sort of a shoujo author which I usually avoid. I did check out the page for Saiyuuki though. Found it pretty interesting that the prequel is a lot more well received.
Yeah Nausica is a good comparison. Kind of story book like.
Although over the years Pokemon guidelines have gotten stricter, that's pretty much a constant in the manga, villains straight up trying to murk the MC's with Pokemon is still a constant lol.
I haven't finished Pokemon Special yet, I put it on hold somewhere around the Diamond and Pearl arc.
Also if you are reading online I could tell you the site I read from, it's got the official Viz translations if you haven't found them already. The scanlations can be a pretty rough early on.

I don't remember too much about Stigma but I'll try. The thing about Stigma is that it feels like a kind of "artsy" manga. That's the vibe I got. The arts nice (i think it was in color) the dialogue is kind of written like a novel basically. The pacing was really fast so even though I was impartial to it the read was not a waste of time. I thought it was a little too short. I think in general most stories kind of just need that breathing room of at least 20 chapters. I gave it a 5.
Kind of off topic but I read another artsy manga a long while back. It stuck with me a little more. It had a pretty shocking plot twist, it made me a little bit sick to my stomach. Marie no Kanaderu Ongaku it was called. But it was an experience so I gave it a 6. Sometimes I give 6's to manga that don't have anything particularly wrong with them, but I couldn't really get into.
Angolmois ending kind of sets itself up for a sequel and I believe there is a sequel series so if you do choose to read it there will be additional content waiting for you.
Looking at your profile it seems you are also reading Pokemon Special. What arc are you? (otherwise called a chapter the terminology is confusing) seems like the tail end of Red's chapter but might also be the start of Yellow's, I don't remember.

Glad to hear life's been going alright for ya :) Every once in a blue moon I'll pass some FS guys who have to haul a bunch of gear and feel pretty bad for them, and then realize there's probably a reason you guys tend to be pretty fit. Any clue where they'll have you sent to? From the sounds of this message and previous ones I know you're assigned to fire teams most of the time, but does the USFS ever have you doing any sort of emegerncy relief as well? i.e. would you ever be doing anything like helping with flood relief in Texas or something? Just curious!
My summer is... happening. I'm restarting school in the fall for Wind Turbine Technology so I'm excited to turn a new page in life, but it feels like it can't come soon enough. For a good while after my trip to Japan I tried to find a local nursing job; however, it became very clear that none of them would be able to work with my school schedule coming up and I refuse to work nights while going to school. That was awful enough six years ago during college, and I just don't have the gusto to do it again. So now I'm just looking for really whatever job. I live with my family and have a good deal of savings, so money isn't a big concern - but it feels shitty to be at home all day every day, even if it's just until school. And I haven't even been using that time to catch up on my backlog!
I guess I should really be thankful I can afford not to grind for a while ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anyway, hope the season goes well for ya! Keep me updated!
