## Installasjon
Before installing, please note that the plugin requires PHP >= 7.2.
1. Go to Plugins > Add New.
2. Search for «Slim SEO».
3. Install and activate the plugin.
That’s all. The plugin doesn’t have any settings page. Everything is done automatically.
## Ofte stilte spørsmål
### How meta title tag is generated?
WordPress already has this featured! All we need to do is add theme support for `
title-tag`. By default, the title tag will have the following format:
For homepage: Site title – Site description
For single page or post: Page/Post
title – Site title For other pages: Page title – Site title
This format is pretty good!
### How meta description tag is generated?
The meta description tag is automatically generated from the post excerpt or post
content (in case you didn’t enter post excerpt). For categories, post tags or custom
taxonomies, their description will be used as meta description.
### How Open Graph meta tags is generated?
Open Graph inherits the meta title and meta description. For image tag, it gets
from the featured image.
For single posts, the plugin also provides detailed information for article section(
the first post category) and article tags (post tags). It also provides additional
information such as published time and modified time.
Other tags such as `url`, `site_name`, `type`, `locale` are quite obvious.
### How Twitter card meta tags is generated?
Twitter inherits some tags from Open Graph such as title, description and image.
So we only need to set the card type to large image, so the posts appear beautifully
on Twitter.
### How do I set meta tags for my homepage?
If your homepage is a static page, then it’s treated like a normal page. The meta
description is generated from page content, and the featured image will be used
for Open Graph tags.
If your homepage shows latest posts, then it’s already done automatically by the
plugin.
### Can I change the meta tags manually?
Yes, you can. When you edit a post or a page, there’s a «Search Engine Optimization»
meta box below the editor, which allows you to edit meta tags if needed.
### Where is my XML sitemap?
The sitemap URL is located at `domain.com/sitemap.xml`.
### How to remove plugin’s data when uninstalling
Add the following constant in your `wp-config.php` file:

Hey there, apologies but I have to provide a negative feedback. I think this plugin
and the possibly the small company behind are not worth paying for at all. I watched
some SlimSEO videos and got really hyped as I wanted to get rid of distractions
with SEO related activities. I was using Rankmath PRO for the last 5 years and switched
to SlimSEO PRO. At first, it was just fine. I was cleaning up a lot of bloated content
while utilising the SlimSEO. I was also going through the schemas. With the latest
update, Schema function just broke. It basically doesn’t work. watch?v=ItNGDr5H2nI
It disappears when I add a new one or want to see an already existing one. I mean
this could happen, and would expect developers to take immediate action as the plugin
I paid for doesn’t work anymore. However, this company is extremely slow and I almost
feel like they ignore me. It’s been already 2+ days and I shared this screen recording
right away with the founder, but it wasn’t even watched. Unbelievable. I think you
guys have a long way to go and you shouldn’t really ask for any money for premium
features that you don’t even want to stand up for! Today, I bought ChatGPT plus
membership, went through every aspect of SlimSEO and already got a custom plugin
for me website. I regret having bought SlimSEO PRO without thinking too much. This
is the second time I decided to support a smaller plugin manufacturer, but again
I failed with my decision. Never again!

I did a thorough comparison of SEO plugins and Slim SEO came out on top:- Easy to
use GIU- Very well documented- No hard upsell windows unlike some other SEO plugins-
Extensive range of features- I think the ability to customize eg the output of schema
using code is fantastic- EtcGreat job!

Don’t need all the bloat of other seo plugins, just a sitemap and tag editor, excellent.
Some of the other ‘simple’ sitemap generators don’t have options to disregard certain
posts and pages, which is not helpful when you’re trying to hide your logged in
pages. Simple SEO makes it simple by allowing you to go to the page and tick a box,
great, refreshed sitemap already generated and the pages I wanted to exclude – gone.

I tried it for the first time. It’s simple and straightforward. I liked it. The
only downside, in my opinion, is that we need to be able to replace breadcrumbs «
home» with the word in our language.If it supports Turkish, I can use it on more
sites.
