Lamiaworld

A long time ahead, in a galaxy exactly like ours, there lived a people known as Lamians, who were known by their neighbors as great communicators, facilitators, and healers. As a part of their membership in the Galactic Commons, Lamians often hosted offworlders for the purposes of healing and diplomacy. One day, a renmant of humanity entered Lamian space, sent by the commons for rest and recouperation. Their homeworld had been destroyed by their own outsized resource consumption, but their lives there had been sabotaged by a species from many galaxies over--and their request of the Lamian people went far beyond their initial promise to help the humans with respite and time to rebuild. Despite having a strong policy of non-interference, the Lamians accepted the human request to cast their collective psychic power back in time, to help turn the tide against their homeworlds destruction, and in doing so found that there were other species interested in helping humanity as well.&nbsp;One lamian pirate, who'd been sucked into a tear in time before the humans had arrived at her homeworld, found herself tapped to execute one of the most ludicrous attempts at species conservation in all the known galaxy. Conveniently located in the timestream imminent to their homeworlds destruction, Xavia finds herself linking with a earthside human to create the bridge necessary for the combined powers of her species to aid theirs. This is the story of the link, and of all the people--alien and human--who helped to turn the tide.
