How We Protect Your Belongings in Storage

Storage is only useful if your belongings come out in the same condition they went in. Our facilities maintain stable temperature and humidity levels year-round, with 24/7 surveillance, controlled access, and fire suppression systems. The accordion on the right covers every detail about how we protect your items while they’re with us.

Items going into storage receive the same packing and wrapping treatment as items going onto a truck. Furniture stays padded, stretch-wrapped, and elevated off the floor. Need furniture disassembled before it goes in? That’s included.

Our storage facilities maintain stable temperature and humidity levels to protect furniture, electronics, artwork, and sensitive materials from warping, mold, and moisture damage. Conditions are monitored and maintained year-round regardless of outside weather.

Every item placed into storage is inventoried and documented. When you’re ready for delivery, your coordinator schedules a crew to retrieve your belongings and transport them to your new address. Need to add or remove a few items? We can arrange partial access without requiring a full delivery.

Basic liability coverage applies to items in storage just as it does during transport. For higher-value belongings, full-value protection is available and covers repair, replacement, or reimbursement at current market value. Your coordinator walks you through both options when you book.

Tell your coordinator you need storage during booking or anytime before move day. We’ll add it to your plan with a clear monthly rate based on volume.

Move Day — Straight to the Facility

On move day, the crew loads your belongings with the same wrapping and protection as any move. Instead of driving to a new address, the truck goes to our storage facility. Everything is inventoried and placed into your unit.

Your Belongings Sit Safe

Climate-controlled, monitored, and insured. You don’t need to check on anything. If you need to add or retrieve items during storage, contact your coordinator and we arrange access.

Delivery When You’re Ready

Give us the word and we schedule a crew to retrieve your belongings and deliver them to your new home. Same wrapping, same care, same COI coordination if the new building requires it.

Storage pricing depends on the volume of your belongings and how long they stay. A studio’s worth of items costs less than a full household. Your coordinator provides a clear monthly rate as part of your moving estimate so there are no surprises. The first month is often included with storage-in-transit bookings.

Yes. If you need to add or retrieve specific items, we can arrange partial access. Contact your coordinator and we’ll schedule a time. For full retrieval and delivery to your new address, we send a crew to load everything and transport it directly to you.

Yes. Everything that goes into storage receives the same wrapping and padding it gets on the truck — furniture stays stretch-wrapped, padded, and elevated off the floor. Climate-appropriate conditions protect against temperature swings, humidity, and moisture year-round.

Storage-in-transit is part of your move — your belongings go directly from your old home into our facility and then get delivered to your new home when you’re ready. There’s no separate pickup or extra handling. Regular short-term or long-term storage is a standalone service for situations unrelated to an active move, like renovations or downsizing.

We cannot store hazardous materials (gasoline, propane, paint, ammunition), perishable food, plants, or live animals. These restrictions are standard across the industry and align with federal regulations for carriers. Your coordinator provides a complete list during planning.

Any items that can't be moved or illegal to move?

“Non-allowable” is an industry term for hazardous items professional movers will not transport and are those generally considered explosive, flammable or corrosive.

Please do not ask our team to move living organisms such as plants, fish, pets…

Can jewelry and other valuables be moved?

Yes, but we are not liable for those items unless they’re properly reported item by item.

Let us know if you have items of extraordinary value and we’ll walk you through valuation options.

Can you take down/hang my art work, TV, AC...

During move-out we can generally remove artwork, mounted TVs, and window ACs.

Additional cost applies on dismounting and mounting TV.

Please reach out to your account manager to make sure our team has the right tools during your move.

Do you have moving supplies/equipment on the truck?

Yes, our trucks are fully stocked with moving supplies and proper equipment you may need for your move.

If you are not fully packed/prepared for your move please let us know prior to your moving date and we’ll make sure our team has the necessary packing supplies to assist you.
