Open Source Java Chemistry Software for Windows

NMRShiftDB is an open-source, open-access, open-submission, open-content web database for chemical structures and their nuclear magnetic resonance data.

Raman Data Search and Storage (RDSS) software was developed as an analytical tool for a fast and accurate identification of unknown minerals by comparison of their spectra with the indexed library of data. A search function was implemented to enable users to find a specific peak value. Using the asterisk character (*) as a placeholder for one or more unknown peak value(s), the software will return the best match(es). Besides the search utility by the Raman band positions, which was proven to be priceless in the interpretation of Raman spectra, the RDSS software gives the user the ability to display and inspect the Raman spectra quickly and very efficiently. Users can zoom into the Raman spectrum, shift in any direction the wavenumber and the intensity axes, and if any part of the spectral display is clicked, that region will be highlighted and the specific wavenumber returned. A photo for every sample entry stored in the database is also available.

"Information is data in action", and, consequently, having good quality data is essential. The AESTEL package contains two highly configurable applications for data management: A data loader and a reporting application, i.e. DataLoader and AEREA, respectively. The data loader application applies user-defined instructions to validate, process and load data. The reporting application provides a query builder and spreadsheet template designer. Both applications work with any relational data model. (Postgres and Oracle have been tested). The two applications have been initially developed for small molecule drug discovery research. However, they can be extended for use in other data domains.

The information system (IS) “Cantharella: Pharmacochemical database of natural substances” share and sustain pharmacochemical data of all organisms collected for the study of their natural substances, with a controlled access via internet.

primeHandle is a set of data management tools in support of the PrIMe Initiative (http://primekinetics.org). primeHandle includes graphical user interfaces for searching through data collections, editing and submitting data to the PrIMe Data Depository.
