    keysniffer

    keysniffer

    Linux kernel mode debugfs keylogger

A Linux kernel module to grab keys pressed in the keyboard, or a keylogger. keysniffer was initially written with the US keyboard (and conforming laptops) in mind. By default it shows human-readable strings for the keys pressed. However, as keyboards evolved, more keys got added. So the module now supports a module parameter codes which shows the keycode shift_mask pair in hex (codes=1) or decimal (codes=2).

    rtl2832-entropyd

Use an rtl2832 USB dongle to generate random data for the linux kernel

...The kernel already has a module to use the rtl2832 for its intended purpose, listening to radio, so if you want to use it to generate entropy, you will have to blacklist that module, so it doesn't load. If it is loaded, this program will not be able to acquire the rtl2832 device, and won't run. Create the file /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-dvb_usb_rtl28xxu.conf with the line blacklist dvb_usb_rtl28xxu in it.

    Trusted Path Execution LKM

A Linux Kernel Module that implements Trusted Path Execution

tpe-lkm is a Linux kernel module implementing Trusted Path Execution, a security feature that denies users from executing programs that are not owned by root, or are writable. This closes the door on a whole category of exploits where a malicious user tries to execute his or her own code to hack the system. Since the module doesn't use any kind of ACLs, it works out of the box with no configuration.

    Linux Exploit Suggester

    Linux Exploit Suggester

Linux Exploit Suggester; based on operating system release number

Linux Exploit Suggester is a lightweight Perl script designed to help security testers quickly identify local Linux kernel privilege-escalation candidates by matching the host’s kernel/OS release string against a curated list of known vulnerable versions. It runs uname -r by default (or accepts a manual -k kernel string) and prints a suggestive, human-readable list of possible exploit names, CVEs, and references that match that kernel version. The tool intentionally keeps its logic simple: it performs string matching and warns that patched or back-ported kernels can mislead results, so its output should be treated as pointers for further verification rather than definitive proof of exploitable code. ...

    AttackVector Linux

    AttackVector Linux

linux distro for anonymized penetration based on Kali and TAILS

AttackVector Linux is a new distribution for anonymized penetration and security. It is based on Kali and TAILS, which are both based on Debian. While Kali requires a modified kernel for network drivers to use injection and so forth, the Tor Project's TAILS is designed from the bottom up for encryption, and anonymity. Nmap can't UDP via Tor. The intention of AttackVector Linux is to provide the capability to anonymize attacks while warning the user when he or she takes actions that may compromize anonymity. The two projects have different design philosophies that can directly conflict with one another. ...
