LosslessCut aims to be the ultimate cross platform FFmpeg GUI for extremely fast and lossless operations on video, audio, subtitle and other related media files. The main feature is lossless trimming and cutting of video and audio files, which is great for saving space by rough-cutting your large video files taken from a video camera, GoPro, drone, etc. It lets you quickly extract the good parts from your videos and discard many gigabytes of data without doing a slow re-encode and thereby losing quality. Or you can add a music or subtitle track to your video without needing to encode. Everything is extremely fast because it does an almost direct data copy, fueled by the awesome FFmpeg which does all the grunt work. The bfxr project by increpare is a sound-effects generator tool originally built using Flash + AIR, based on the earlier Sfxr project. Its purpose is to enable users, especially game developers and sound designers, to quickly generate retro, 8-bit/“chiptune” style sound effects (“bleeps”, “booms”, “zaps”, etc.) without deep knowledge of audio signal processing. It offers an interactive GUI through which you can tweak many parameters (oscillators, envelopes, filters, etc.) to sculpt custom sound effects; you can preview in real time, export, and iterate. The project includes libraries, HTML templates, and both ActionScript and JavaScript code. It has been well-received (over a thousand stars), but as of 2025, it has been superseded by a newer version called bfxr2, which is a JavaScript reworking of the original. -

wavesurfer.js is a customizable audio waveform visualization, built on top of Web Audio API and HTML5 Canvas. With wavesurfer.js you can create anything from an HTML5 audio player to a sophisticated DJ application. wavesurfer.js works only in modern browsers supporting Web Audio. It will fallback to Audio Element without graphics in other browsers (IE 11 and lower). You can also try wavesurfer.swf which is a Flash-based fallback. The audio will start playing as you press play. A thin line will be displayed until the whole audio file is downloaded and decoded to draw the waveform. Web Audio needs the whole file to decode it in the browser. Music Library & Player utilizes PHP and vanilla javascript to deliver your web-accessible music library via HTML5 audio in a fully responsive and modern interface. The library does not require a database back-end. It parses the directory structure, best suited for a [ROOT]/[ARTIST]/[ALBUM]/[TRACKS] type of layout. This isn't required, but makes for the best user experience. Random playlists can also be generated. The code contained in this script has not been minified. It is written in long form and is well-documented for ease of use and customization. Individual tracks are optionally presented with download links. Minimal effort has been put into limiting the reach of the player and download links. It is limited, by default, to the three audio file types that are supported by HTML5. It is advised that you password protect the Music Library & Player directory using htaccess or other method to restrict public access.
