Reedsy

Pros: Loved the range and accessibility of the site. I also appreciated the encouragement from the editor and the overall site layout, price range for work.

Cons: There was nothing that I did not like but I would like yo see more inclusion of editing for Caribbean writers dialects etc.

Overall: Fantastic. The writing community, competitions and being able yo get editors, writers, writing related resources all in one place is great.

Pros: I was guided to Reedsy by a dear friend, a published author of 4 books. I had spoken with her about a memoir I was working on before I got too old to do so and she recommended this site. The information available, the ease of navigation especially for an old lady, was invaluable. I received, quickly, responses from those I submitted a bit of my work to in order to gauge whether it was even worth my time to attempt this whole endeavor. I was NOT disappointed and received response from all in short order. When the on editor agreed to work with me, I could not be more pleased at how the collaboration has gone to date.

Cons: There was NOTHING to dislike! I received very quick responses from all I submitted samples of my writing with hope that someone would be interested. Not a single con can I cite!

Overall: The editor who graciously said he wanted to work with me has been fantastic. His edits have been perfect, he has not overridden "my voice" in any way and has actually spurred me on in a manner that has encouraged me to really buckle down versus writing when the "mood" hit. Nothing short of perfect so far.

Pros: I had a great experience with Reedsy. I was able to connect with both an editor and an illustrator, who will be helping me with my first children's book. They have both been easy to communicate with, encouraging with their suggestions, and thoughtful with their guidance. I will definitely look to Reedsy again with future projects.

Cons: I would have liked to see a few more professional options for marketing and publishing.

Overall: Everything went very smoothly, from first contact to final commitment. I was impressed with the quick responses that I received from both professionals that I worked with. I also enjoyed the learning courses that were offered. Reedsy is very generous with free advice.

Pros: Reedsy is an easy to start website for authors like me who are dedicated to revising their craft and are looking for professionals who can help do that. The website is filled with so many different people and features to best suit my needs, and within the first day of making an account, I found the exact service and person I was looking for. I was able to get a quote and detailed information about the services I'd be receiving, and throughout the entire process of working with my editor I felt assured. Another pro is how secure the payment and billing is.

Cons: I found every aspect of Reedsy to be likeable, and I have no negative or constructive things to add about the site.

Overall: Overall, I think Reedsy is the best place to find what you're looking for because of how much they offer in their marketplace. It's the perfect site to begin your journey as an author!

Pros: I loved how easy it was to use and how streamlined everything was. I especially liked the prompts for sending declines; that process was not awkward or clunky.

Cons: The only concern I had was that the bids were pretty wide-ranging and I ended up spending considerably more on a book cover than the one who recommended Reedsy.

Overall: Excellent! My first two projects, a book cover and a logo, were easy, quick and satisfying. We have more projects ahead for Reedsy!

Pros: I got to have Reedsy Illustrators bid for my job, which gave me artistic control over the direction of my project. I also got to break my payments up in flexible ways. That really helped me financially.

Cons: There was nothing I didn't like with the service. If something could be improved, I suppose the website's navigation could be clearer.

Overall: At Reedsy, I found a quality cover illustrator, and at a price I could afford. It's made a huge difference for my final project!
