Yeah, I realize the use case might be a bit out of scope for typical ASTAP development, but solutions on these small image chips from less-than-pristine sensors is what I need. Looking at the code, there are a number of constants in there defining things like, e.g., detection threshold as a multiple of background value. Are those adjustable through the CLI, or would I need to make changes to the source and compile my own version for something like that? Do you think it's possible with the way the...

Using the CLI, I was wondering if it would be possible to get RA/Dec values (à la the "-extract2" param) given a CSV file that was already output by the "-extract" command (no RA/Dec)? I have kind of a niche case where I'm trying to perform a plate solve on fairly small, lower-quality images (example attached) and ASTAP is only finding 2-4 stars. I have a more sensitive (possibly just more noise-permissive) source extractor I can use to get many more stars, but no way I can find to plug that into...

Astrometry.net tools allow you to perform a plate solve on already-extracted sources represented by an xy-list. Is this an option for ASTAP? And can it output an xy-list as well? Cheers!

Oh that's great, thank you! With just -extract, I wasn't seeing the RA/Dec, but -extract2 seems to do the trick. And the CSV file is a bit easier to ingest as well. Cheers!

I am working on a utility to perform visual magnitude calibration using identified stars in a field. A vital step in this process is to identify which stars are in view from a Gaia catalog, and to do that I need to map pixel centers of stars to RA/Dec. I am able to do this with astrometry.net tools using the returned [name].corr file (a FITS data file), but ASTAP performs the fit much faster which I would prefer for my application. I am using the CLI. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheer...
