Finally, a Battlefield game that lives up to its legacy. Yes, there are problems like the netcode. You can disappear behind cover and still get shot. But that's been known since at least Bad Company 2. And it seems to be just part of the large-scale FPS genre. But finally being able to sit down with friends in the evening for some good rounds filled with classic Battlefield moments. The feeling of tactically pursuing objectives and somehow still having a good time despite all the chaos, some not game-breaking bugs feels realy good. I like the (mostly) very pretty maps, and the atmosphere, which often (and quite intentionally) distracts you from the action. Winning a round almost becomes secondary and is just the icing on the cake. I hope the developers don't give in to the skin-, achievement- and progress run mentality and turn this into another Call of Duty.

i went to different cities all over the world and all i got was cats. more than worth it!

a clicker game with exaggerated toilet humor, annoying sounds and graphics that only 8-year-olds might find cool. I have no idea why I expected something different.

between two missions far in the campaign, the game tends to crash. no reload, no earlier safe game or changing of specs in the options may solve the issue. due to this circumstances i can´t continue the campaign.

encountered two invincible enemy units during Italian campaign, the game turns out to be unwinnable in this condition.

searched online and this seems to be a bug since release. relic haven´t fixed it yet.

What is it with the fu##up of developers to release games with such major flaws? this is the third game in a row with this kind of bugs i can´t continue in the game any more.

I just wanted to play the campaign. it forces you to restart the game every time after launch when you want to play singleplayer. who did come up with that?
furthermore i keep getting dropped from a single player(!) game, because i lost connection to the server. In addition it crash freezes several times.

campaign itself seems fine with some flaws. Some scenarios start realistic and promising but end up like a michael bay movie.

the first impression is pretty solid. It feels like Civilization as an RTS all placed in the desert.
you have 4 factions you can choose from. explore the desert, maintain different cash- and resource flows (i.e. spice and more), invest in buildings and military troops, capture wrecks and villages, trade and diplomacy, espionage and counterintelligence. there are a lot of elements.

pro:
- overall UI looks good
- units and exploring is fun
- the setting gives some dune vibes
- i love the combination between rts and a lot of elements from 4X games like civ.

con:
- the tutorial is just overlays. that could be way better. i had a hard time to understand everything
- no indicators how well a military unit will perform against others, but i guess i didn´t found it yet.
- soundtrack is nice but anything else than memorable
- the camera options are limited, maybe i didn´t find the right buttons

I have to reevaluate my review. At first it crashed a lot.

Now after a few updates and still on the same system it runs smooth. The crafting and exploring part are well designed. it is nice as the planet where you´re thrown at grows by the time. everywhere is something to find and the urge to just explore another wreck or another cave is big. I am only at the beginning i guess so now it is a promising game. those who like subnautica or satisfactory will have their fun, when they don´t expect clones of the mentioned games. for that, the setting differs too strong, but you will have your fun of first person exploration, survival and automation.

truly a timebreaker. it´s easy to get lost in the game and drift away while puzzling and listening to the soothing soundtrack. and remember: hexagons are bestagons
