I really wish Steam allowed “mixed” review recommendation because the game is fun and you got big bouncy titties, upskirt shots are very common during races if you use a certain camera mode and you even got lolis, even loli brides, very based.

But the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ localization like usually, is absolutely awful, dialogue is likely the worst part of this game. Memes that no one will remember after a couple of months, mistakes everywhere and annoying reddit zoomer lingo. Even Mihono Bourbon clearly calling you "Master" is for some reason still written as "Trainer". They also translated "merry Christmas" (clearly being said in English) as "happy holidays" when it's a game that happens in Japan and they celebrate Christmas. If I played a Chinese game and they celebrated lunar new year, I would have no issue with it. Same as any other cultural holiday.

AI would have been a direct upgrade to this.

Difference between a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ AI translation and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ human one is that the AI didn't do it out of malice. The clique is now worrying because people won't put up with their crap anymore and would far rather have the same bad quality from an AI that isn't hating on the audience.

“Lolcalization” should unironically be punishable by life ruining fines or jail time. The idea some loser changes an authors intent and doesn't get sued for malicious false advertising/scam is genuinely mind boggling.

What's funny is that CyGames has been very openly using AI to translate for years. They once tweeted a picture of their localizer's work desk and they had AI translation tool shortcuts on their desktop. At this point they just use AI to translate ♥♥♥♥ and rewrite it after however they please. Granblue had this annoying ♥♥♥♥ too (everyone noticed the relink localization was bad).

Also love the implication that the game needed the glorious American empire to give it personality because the original had none. Can't imagine why people are so indifferent to localizers being replaced by AI.

Gotta love how these are the same people who yell "Culture appropriation! It's important!" then go into Japanese media and do this.

>And the most important: character designs which is the first thing that grabs people's attention. This game would not be as big if it weren't for Mita's cuteness.

(Note: Many western AAA devs fail these tasks, especially character design)

Seriously though, incredible good job on this game. Only small thing that could have been added was a crouch button, so you could look under Mitas skirt, currently the game makes you crouch automatically when needed and even then, it won't make you crouch low enough to see anything, though at least there were still couple of other parts where you could see them even without crouch. Hope that will be added for the peaceful mode at least and hopeful there will be sex update too somewhere in the future and you can get her pregnant.

Also, since this game got pretty damn popular and big so quickly which is totally deserved, i know there's unfortunately most likely gonna be a big case of certain people once again making "you missed the point" videos and essays and to those i say:
Yeah, the point of MiSide is loli Mita and Cappie, the best parts of the game.
