I absolutely recommend it to those that can handle a game with patience & a lot of note taking. This is a one-shot run game, every level is the exact same, but your knowledge expands as you explore each level thoroughly. There's a lot of inventory & currency management, secrets galore (alternative exits, hidden doors, fake walls, unique items for alternative routes), a very well done sound design against unnatural foes & wonderful ah-ha! moments from just the first four floors alone.

Keep a notebook in hand & take a lot of screenshots, this is a game that will require a lot of puzzle solving, charting & a great sense of maze navigation to fully enjoy in that classic style of game straight out of the old school PC puzzle games. Trust me on this, it is worth your time to solve this devious, demonic puzzle box.

Quite literally the best this game has to offer, but it is not a substitution to the original. The original game has a special place in my heart, but it is an unfinished game & while RE-PAC does aim to complete the game a lot of its changes are sometimes for better or a worse experience. The changes to Pac-Dots is a phenomenal quality of life improvement as you no longer require to collect every pac-dot for 100% completion so if your focus is to 100% the game, this is the ideal version to play.

However, despite the praise, there were moments where I felt the original had a 1UP over this version & it lies with the arcade & tokens. The original game a fixed amount of NAMCO tokens are scattered across the world & collecting them all gave you access to numerous PAC-MAN arcade cabinets at the arcade. Collecting the tokens was an extremely rewarding process in the original because you felt that you earned the cabinet a-la emblems in Sonic Adventure, but now the tokens are fuel for the gatchapon machines with a minimal selection of arcade cabinets.

Don't get me wrong, it is pretty cool, but now if I want to 100% the game, I have to mindlessly grind for tokens in the mazes until I have enough to reroll spins for the statues. I was originally on board, but the more I progressed the more I felt conditioned to like them & it grew tedious & monotonous for something that could've been a prize corner shop in the arcade.

I completely lost track of time & played the game for the last three hours. Easily a very loving letter to old school FPS such as Duke Nukem, Wolfenstein & Serious Sam, so many moments where I had to stop to think about the level design due to how familiar it was to the games I've played before while performing its own spin on things.

For the low low price of FREE, this is an easy pick up & have fun in a single run.

This is a very solid game thus far where one can easily play with little regard to the story at hand. The races are very fair with no rubberbanding (that I've noticed) from the other racers though even the harder races you can easily finish in 2-3 tries.

Is this worth the current price being offered? Not really, I grabbed this game on Fanatical for a 62% discount (note: not all regions have this price) or $7.59 USD. I'm having my enjoyment from that, but the flat $20 USD can be a little too much for folks. If you are on the fence for this game, it's also available via Game Pass.

This isn't a must-play game, but it's definitely a fantastic palette cleanser when you are in-between games. Short enough to feel like you're not committing, but not long enough that it overstays its welcome. The vibes are immaculate for clearing your mind across each field, the movement makes me want to actively ignore the fast travel that's available & the bike customization makes it fun to mix & match for any terrain with thoughtful pre-planning based on the route.

This is a game that's going to benefit from future updates such as photo modes, race replays & longer races around the island. Though what's here will suit someone for at least 6-8 hours if you plan on getting everything.

Short & Sweet Tokusatsu inspired fever dream between Katamari Damacy & Super Monkey Ball in a cel-shaded style. The fact that it's free should give you incentive to give this a go.

I’m about 12 hours into Promise Mascot Agency & while the writing isn’t it’s strongest suit compared to Paradise Killer, it more than makes up for it in this insanely addicting management loop that feedbacks incredibly well with the antics you do around town.

At first glance, you see a ton of checkboxes to fill up, but then as you start filling them up you’ll begin to find yourself at odds with finding a “good” stopping point because you’re not quite done with your exploration so you now sunk another hour into the game & you rinse & repeat until you now have more money than you know what to do with.

Currently maxed out the agency & now working with the real money sink for better financial avenues & aiding the town into prosperity. It’s quite the relaxing time managing a 24-hour mascot agency & while it does have moments were you temporarily go into the red because daily utilities scale up over time, it never feels anxiety inducing nor difficult.

I’ve read numerous reviews about the incident system being the weakest aspect of the game thus far, it’s more so an order of operations rather than a mindless spam til you win. It does get easier to manage incidents as you collect more cards to level up & specific ones that let you action cheat other powerful cards in quick succession.

It’s certainly a game made for freaks by freaks & I’m definitely part of that demographic. Rarely does the game go by where I feel bored. I end up feeling enchanted by the driving this malnourished rural town that blossoms the more your influence is driven.

I wholeheartedly recommend the game for anyone interested.

This is a beautiful game, I just made it to Chapter 3 & it's slowly shaping up to be one of my favorite releases of 2025. The game is simply stunning to explore & wander around, this would benefit greatly from a photo mode in a later update because my god it's pretty.

The combat is the most basic aspect to this game & it really makes me wish this leaned itself as a puzzle platformer with no combat so I could explore this world at my leisure. Otherwise, this harkens that old feeling of 3D cinematic platformers of the generations of old, think early PS4 titles like Concrete Genie & Kena: Bridge of Spirits. It's a colorful game that I think it's worthy of your time.

The music is simply superb, it sets the mood for each scene & gave me chills on ocassion. Lastly, was pretty disappointed that you can't dash or use spells in mid-air during exploration sequences, guess it makes several set pieces too easy to complete as a result, but it throws me off a lot whenever I think I could use a weave spell while in mid-air across a gap. I'll be playing more over the weekend, but this is a very solid time.

This game consumed my very life early this year. Every now & then I like to tempt fate & crack it open like a trapped minotaur inside a maze. The house wins & no matter what you do, you will never outwin it; so cash out while you are ahead.

WELCOME TO PORK BELLY

Hey! did you love that Star Fetchers Pilot? Cuz I sure did.

This is more of the vibes of Star Fetchers mixed in with a 10 wave climb to the top in order to earn your freedom in a Punch-Out!!!-esque episode that can oh so spin off so hard into an endless rougelike & I'd be eternally grateful towards the devs if they do.

It picks off right where we left off in the Star Fetchers pilot, the combat is reminiscent of Wii Boxing of all things. You can only hit the face of the opponent when you hover over their head & you beat the crud out of them before they do. It was frankly very addictive that I went for it twice over already to get a proper fill for it.

The visuals, the music & even the sound effects are punchy, flashy & oh so grimy. While the screenshots shown on the page are outdated, they did a wonderful job just polishing every asset when it launched (despite the small bumps & hiccups near & shortly after launch). Overall this is a solid support package for the developers who clearly worked hard on this for everyone involved.

Several beginner tips:
  • Aim for the head (it's where it counts)
  • Grab attack buffs early & steamroll the competition
  • Talk to Nevada, the cowgirl, in the shop. She may have something to give you if you talk to her enough between rounds.
  • This is a one shot episode with no saves, you sit there til you're done all the way through. Attempts can take anywhere between 10 to 30 minutes if you're fast enough. Make sure you have an afternoon or an evening clear if you think you need the time to finish this DLC.

Now go out there & be the gnarliest beast Pork Belly has ever seen. BITE THE HAND THAT FEEDS YOU!! Hail to the Thornz!
