game needs high-end specs to run and even then it struggles for 70-90 consistent fps
honestly just wait lmao

however gameplay is fun if you can stomach the low fps and the game looking like pixels and low bitrate streams

characters/heroes are gradually becoming more expensive??? 300 to 600 to 900?????
microtransactions are DOG, 5 bucks doesn't even get you enough for a character/hero because you'll be 50 tokens off because screw you lol!!!!!!!
story is yap central, all they go is yap yap yap mcguffin yap yap oh no someone died!!!!! anyways, yap yap yap yap
missions are a SLOG to crawl through, especially in the later half of the story
eng translations on mods are also DOG because all of their names DONT EVEN MAKE SENSE!
weapon design is all over the place it disgusts me at times, personal nitpick if anything

im going to unfortunately go against what i said anyways because friends are interested in this game and i want to hang out with them, but its hard to recommend the game to anyone because the game just feels so 'okay'.

still getting skill issued by fatalis but i ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love the gameplay of mhw
didnt like the clutch claw too much with the weapons i mainly used (charge blade, weeb sword, swagaxe, bow), but just a mechanic issue on my part if anything lol, felt like it didn't flow well into certain combos
beat velkhana on base iceborne, took a break and a friend recommended a mod called the 'Iceborne Community Edition' mod that had me swooping back into the game with it's really nice qol changes (im honestly spoiled by what they've changed and i love it)
base game will always be good though, the depth in the weapon's movesets are sometimes pretty deep (looking at charge blade here) though mastering a monster's movesets and knowing one's weapon feels incredible its like a drug if anything
guaranteed a good time if youre willing to learn how to dance around a monster's attacks while learning your own attacks to punish and hunt said monster

questionable mechanic from dlc, nice for dmg but feels weird on certain weapons imo

should just get the game anyways and give it a shot :)
