It's just like I'm back playing BF4 again, only now I'm old and bad at video games.

Never thought this game would of been so addicting and fun. Completely had my ADHD brain hooked on it even after I beat it.

Can't support a developer that is all about censorship.

After 1+2, this is just disappointing. As others said it's basically THPS 3 with some levels from 4. Removing most of the original soundtrack because they want to make room for "new acts" is so dumbfounding, too. It just doesn't feel good.

They're charging more than they did for 1+2, which is much more faithful to the original. Stick with 1+2 and maybe wait for 3+4 to go on sale.

Early Access Review
A game I never knew that I needed, but I'm so glad I have it.

One of the best survival games I've played in a long time.

Refunded the game ages ago and decided to give it another try for the free weekend.

Didn't even get to the gameplay, had 8+ different MTX popups while I was trying to look at classes and get into a game before I just gave up.

Even without the server issues, this is a scam.

They're reselling you a product that is, honestly, inferior to the original for a lot more money that takes up a LOT more harddrive space. I'd really only recommend this if you have a love for achievements/trading cards and only plan to play this single player.

I thought they would have done more to update the game, make it look and feel a little more modern, maybe even add a few things here and there. But this feels like some weird, lazy xbox port of the game.

Get the original for much cheaper and mod it. Don't fall for this absolute cash grab.

EDIT: Tried going back to the game after the updates, only to STILL get the invitation bug progression blocker on Rock the Cradle. I'm done with the game at this point.

Payday 3 feels like a lackluster, uninspired sequel. While I never expected it to be on the level of Payday 2 just yet, considering P2 had 10+ years of content, this game is just disappointing. The list of issues and missing features is long, even if you don't include the bugs. So here's some of them.

- No preplanning.
- No pausing, even in single player.
- No matchmaking browser.
- No perk decks.
- No melee weapons.
- No music selection for a heist.
- No reward cards.
- Skills are much simpler than Payday 2.
- Gunplay feels kinda boring and off.
- "Cutscenes" are lazy, short slideshows.
- Ugly "modern" UI.
- Slow and boring progression (probably deliberate so they can add in "skip the grind" microtransactions).
- Leveling is based on Challenges. You robbed a bank successfully but didn't complete any challenges? No level XP for you.
- All unlocks, including appearance options, are all level based as there are no reward cards. Again, probably so they can add in microtransactions for "cooler" appearance options.
- Endless waves were a thing in Payday 2, but it was a feature used selectively. Now it seems every heist gets to an endless wave that makes it feel like you're punished if you weren't stealthing a mission or if you're a solo player.
- Some objectives are just.. what? I've found 4 different missions that have the same objective that's just KOTH. Stand in one spot to "hack" the system, move to another hill after 10 seconds, then to another for over a minute or two.
- It feels really gross that they've been hiding the microtransactions temporarily in order to help reviews of the game. Of course they'd add them in once the reviews are in and people have played too much to get a refund.

In the end, Payday 3 doesn't feel like an upgrade to 2. It feels like a bad, pointless copycat with the Payday logo, and the real heist of the game is to get as much real money it can get from it's players.
