Learn a New Craft

Immerse yourself in a stimulating creative day out, no experience necessary. In my beginner workshops you will have the opportunity try glass fusing and make something gorgeous for your home. Come on your own or come with friends to enjoy a relaxed and fun introduction to the techniques of handling art glass. With class sizes of 6, each participant can work with their own set of tools and materials at their own pace with experienced one-to-one guidance.

You will gain an understanding of a wide range of techniques to suit your level of interest. Start by cutting and shaping glass, augment your work with metals and small decorative ‘frit’ granules and go on to create your own, original designs making a larger or more complex piece in the afternoon. At the end of the course the glass will be magically transformed by firing in the kiln for collection or posting at a later date.

Each one day workshop has a particular project focus, including:
Lanterns
Garden sculptures
Wall Art
Wave or dish
Drape vase
Christmas decorations.

Occasionally I also run two day workshops, for jewellery and more complex glass techniques, firing the glass overnight and continuing working with it the following day.
