Dine with Wine

Vino By The Sea is an unforgettable wine boutique that my best friend an I discovered while walking on the wharf. They have a wide variety of selections to try local wines that are made from the coastal of California.

Kirstie and I decided to try a flight of wine. YES! A FLIGHT OF WINE. We were introduced to try Dave Meniketti from Y&T. There’s live performance and best of all with a great view of the ocean. They are located on the wharf of Santa Cruz very close by to the Beach Boardwalk Amusement Park.

Shop Boutiques

It is a NEW YEAR. We all know that it a huge mess for this whole world especially for the United States. There are many stores that are closing down. Its been difficult to look for unique clothes.

I wanted to go shopping but I sure did not want to wait in line for the department stores. Due to this covid outbreak, shopping is slightly different than normally. Corporates may have great discount on clothing’s but the life span of the item do not last as long. Mass produced clothing are mostly made to substitute for the time being of what consumers need. We support mass production that we forget about the ‘American Made From Love’ quality of textile. As a shopper we can be sometimes political about how we spend our money.

Do you wonder where your shopping money goes? Shopping at local stores help local communities grow into a better place. Support your neighborhood!!

One of my favorite app is Instagram to see what is the new trend and designers. I love discovering new fashion designers before they become commercialized and mass produced. Boutique stores carry many of classic silhouettes. They never go out of style and will be the look that is forever timeless. There are so many novelties that not all corporate department stores carry for an example: Neiman Marcus. We all want quality clothing but don’t forget about the boutiques.

Laser Hair Removal

Grooming is the most important in our daily lives. It is how we present our self at work and our own personal reasons. We shave to get rid of visible hair. I’ve been working as a model for pushing 12 years from now. We shave everywhere especially for a bikini or a boudoir shoot. After shaving we can get razor burns. It can feel sensitive and red especially in gentle areas of the body.

Thank goodness my friend referenced me to LaserAway. She told me about how she felt insecure about her hair follicles that she wanted to get rid of permanently. As she was going through the laser treatments, I noticed the difference. Within a year of treatment I saw improvement! She didn’t have hair where she use to and she was more confident. As a consumer, we want to make sure we know where are we investing big chunk of our money on. Especially if its going to be pricey. I was surprised by how fast the session took. To be honest, I was very nervous and scared because I could smell the burnt hairs. It felt like having a rubber band snapping against the skin like how elementary kids playing around. I chose to do the upper lip, underarms, and Brazilian. I was done by less than 30 min. I look forward in seeing the full results after my 10th session.

West Coast Leather

Choosing a leather jacket that fits perfectly is challenging to find. Anyone can wear leather for just a casual day or to an event.

I was 15 years old going to work in the city of San Francisco.  The 1st thing I thought to myself, I don’t have any type of leather in my closet to match my outfits. I tried looking at different stores around the mall and trying the ones I thought that looked right. The fit of the jackets didn’t feel right. It felt like I was being constrained so I tried a size up. Yet again it still wasn’t right.

I remember walking to work in the city I saw a unique store with all leather designs on the store display.

The leather store I saw was near all the luxurious brand stores with Burberry, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Versace, on Geary and Sutter street in San Francisco. It has been 10 years now, I went to look for that store, it relocated on Grant Avenue.

I stepped into the store. I was greeted by a sweet gentleman named Joe. I admired all the fashion photos and wished that one day I could be on their billboard or catalogue. I walked around the store to look at the selections displayed for sale.  There are many styles to choose from.

What caught my attention was the rich history of the company and client interactions displayed. It was different than many other stores that I have ever shopped in. I felt like I walked behind stage of a rock concert discovering the making of celebrity outfits. There were so many selections I couldn’t decide. I grabbed one of the 5 selections that I liked, It felt like a luxurious glove. I definitely felt like a rock star every time I wear the jacket. It’s a great mix and match with many colors. It will never go out of style.

Makeup on stage

I was casted as one of the dancers in the musical Broadway show ‘She Loves Me’ at California State East bay.  During dress rehearsals I knew I will be sweating in my makeup. I was recommended to use setting spray because makeup always smear on the costumes. I had ordered online Urban Decay setting spray. It arrived in my mail right on time before the show opening.

Once I had finished putting on my makeup, my face texture looked flawless! I used a powder foundation only because it was the only one I had access to. I thought it was easier to apply so I don’t have to worry about it dripping on my robe. It looked as flawless as the pictures shown on Instagram and Pinterest! I have always been curious how do they make their skin look flawless.

When It comes to quick changes, make up always smears on the neck line. I didn’t use Krylon because my skin was allergic to something in the ingredients.  When I used the setting spray, I didn’t have to keep reapplying my makeup and there was less smudges from the makeup on the costumes. The setting spray lasted more than 8 hours that day.  My duffel bag was heavy enough that I did not want to carry my makeup boxes on certain days.

After using the Urban Decay setting spray, it was easy to wipe off with Neutrogene Makeup wipes.
