Allegheny County Treasurer's Office Publishes Delinquent List for Alcoholic Beverage Tax
List strengthens compliance and protects funding for public transportation.
ALLEGHENY COUNTY - The Allegheny County Treasurer’s Office today published the Alcoholic Beverage Tax Delinquent List, marking the official restart of monthly public reporting to ensure compliance with county tax laws and protect funding for public transportation.
The list, now available online at: https://tr.ee/DelinquentTaxList, includes establishments that are three or more months delinquent or have failed to submit self-reporting or payments and typically remit at least $5,000 per month in taxes.
“The vast majority of establishments comply with the law and remit their taxes on time,” said Allegheny County Treasurer Erica Rocchi Brusselars. “This monthly publication ensures accountability for those who do not, while safeguarding funding that so many of our residents rely on for public transit.”
The Alcoholic Beverage Tax helps fund public transit and transportation infrastructure throughout Allegheny County. By Allegheny County ordinance licensed establishments are required to collect the 7% Alcoholic Beverage Tax at the point of sale and remit those revenues to the county monthly.
Since taking office, Treasurer Brusselars has prioritized strengthening compliance and modernizing collection processes. Through consistent outreach, improved systems, and diligent legal enforcement, the office has achieved a 96% on time collection rate.
Establishments that wish to bring their accounts current and be removed from future publications should contact the Treasurer’s Special Tax Division immediately at 412-350-4196 or make a payment online at: https://billpay.forte.net/alleghenypaalcoholtax/
Penalties, interest, and civil court actions will continue to be pursued against vendors who fail to bring their accounts into compliance in accordance with county ordinances and applicable law.
