Opt out of offering an extended cancellation option

For some home listings Airbnb automatically offers guests the option to pay for an extended cancellation window. Offering an extended cancellation option protects your earnings, while giving guests flexibility.

Note: The extended cancellation option is currently only available for certain listings in Argentina, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ireland, Netherlands, Philippines, Poland, Sweden, Turkey, and Vietnam

How to opt out of offering extended cancellation

Only listings with a moderate, limited, firm or strict cancellation policy are eligible for extended cancellation. If your base policy is not eligible, the option won’t be available.

Opt out of extended cancellation on desktop

  1. Click Listings and select the listing you want to edit
  2. Under Listing editor, click Your space
  3. Click Cancellation policy
  4. Click Additional policy options
  5. You can deselect Airbnb extended cancellation or select None
  6. Click Save
