There’s no minimum income requirement to get a Capital One student credit card. However, you’ll need to show proof of adequate income to prove you can make your minimum payments by the due date. Money you receive for living expenses from sources like scholarships or a family member—including transfers via Venmo or Zelle®—may count toward income. 3  
Your Capital One student credit card will stay with you after you graduate—as long as you make at least the minimum payment on time each month. You’ll still earn rewards on purchases. And, if you use your card responsibly, you may be eligible for credit line increase.
