We are Autistic Adults who are proud of our Neurodiversity

The Mission of Autistic Pride Chattanooga is We Amplify, Center, and Empower Autistic Voices—not only in conversations about autism, but in every conversation where humanity, justice, and imagination belong.

A Global Movement,
A Local Beginning

Autistic Pride Day began as an international movement to celebrate autistic identity, culture, and community. Around the world, autistic people gather each June to affirm that we are not hidden, but honored.

Autistic Pride Chattanooga will host Chattanooga’s first Autistic Pride Day on Saturday, June 20th, 2026, joining the global celebration with our own local voice. It is both a milestone for our city and a continuation of the international tradition of autistic‑led pride.

Volunteer

We strive  to be the kind of community you want to be part of.

Here, volunteer roles adapt to you, not the other way around.

Autistic‑Led Community Initiatives

We Amplify, Center, and Empower Autistic Voices—not only in conversations about autism, but in every conversation where humanity, justice, and imagination belong.

neuroDIVERSEcity is a new program that will endorse Chattanooga businesses and workplaces where autistic and otherwise neurodivergent people are welcomed as themselves — unmasked, respected, and valued. It highlights places that build accessibility into everyday practice, honor sensory and communication needs, and offer employment opportunities that recognize neurodivergent strengths rather than forcing conformity, all supported by education created by us, about us, and for everyone.

The Neurodiverse Advisory Panel is a no‑commitment group of autistic and otherwise neurodivergent community members whose lived experience guides every decision at Autistic Pride Chattanooga, ensuring our work stays community‑led, accountable, and shaped by real needs.

Autistics for Safe Food is an autistic‑led project supporting people with ARFID and other dietary needs who also face food insecurity, through education, preferred‑foods support, and the Safe Foods Fridge program — a growing community resource built around dignity, comfort, and choice.
