For years, I viewed my "half-cast" identity as a quiet detail. I am Ethiopian. I am Tanzanian. But today, I realize that this duality is not just who I am—it is the very soul of this House. Building the Bridge The world of luxury often demands a singular origin story. But a leader isn't made of one thing. To be a daughter of the Great Rift is to understand that beauty exists in the tension between two worlds. The Structure: My Ethiopian roots taught me the power of the loom—the disciplined, hand-woven cotton that carries the weight of imperial history. The Fluidity: My Zanzibari and Tanzanian roots taught me the refinement of the breeze—the intricate silk linings and the floral geometries of Omani-style carvings.
