Subject: Request for an Extension on English A S.B.A.

Dear Mr. Cuffy,

I hope this message finds you well. I am________________, a student


of____________, writing to kindly request an extension of the submission of the
English A School-Based Assessment (S.B.A.) to May 31st, 2022, since a fire
which occurred at my home and has affected my ability to meet the deadline
for the SBA project which was on May 5th 2022.

The fire transpired at 6:00 pm on May 3rd, 2022. While having family dinner
the smell of smoke was detected. My family had noticed fire emerging from
an outlet in the kitchen and we immediately evacuated the house and called
fire services. Furthermore, upon investigation it was deduced that the fire
stemmed from outdated electrical wiring which destroyed the house,
including all of my personal belongings and making it impossible for me to
complete the assignment in a timely manner. As a result, my family and I are
currently staying with relatives as we recover from this event.

Given these circumstances, I am seeking additional time to May 31st, 2022


as this would allow me to redo and complete the project. Thank you very
