SWOT Analysis of Foodmandu

Company Introduction:
Foodmandu is the first and only company in Nepal that delivers foods from more than 100
different restaurants in Kathmandu to your doorstep. As a pioneer food delivery service provider,
Foodmandu is making life easier through online ordering. Our time is valuable and sometimes
every minute in the day counts so that is the reason why Foodmandu delivers (Description of
Foodmandu, 2016). So you can spend more time doing the things you love. You can get anything
from Indian food to high French cuisine by placing a simple order online or over the phone. Then
just sit back, relax, and wait for your order to arrive. Foodmandu services are not only great for
those nights when you dont want to cook at home but dont feel like making the trek to a
restaurant, theyre also perfect for lunch at the office.
Right now, Foodmandu only offer services inside ringroad of Kathmandu Valley and its
periphery, but they are hoping to gradually extend their services to other places. Foodmandu
takes the orders of customers seriously and try to deliver food in the shortest time possible.
The person who served as contacts within the organization is Caesar Shrestha, Business
Development Manager of Foodmandu. His roles in the organization are mentioned as follows:

Public relation with the clients of the Foodmandu Restaurant End


Marketing, Promotion and the branding of the company
Conflict management of the market.
Responsible to bring the member restaurants.
Social media marketing

Strength

SWOT Analysis of Foodmandu

It is one of the only companies that deliver over 100 restaurants food in any place within
Kathmandu valley. Foodmandu does their work perfectly, we can call them and they deliver the
food in 30-45 minutes. They have a website where there are many restaurants linked with them
and from that restaurants we can order any food within Kathmandu valley. The main strength of
Foodmandu is that they have a phone tracking software that can trace the address from where we
are calling. They deliver food within any charge of money to the customers. They directly take
certain percentage of sales from their company from the restaurant itself. Strength of Foodmandu
is that they are very reliable and provides good services to the customers (Strength of businesses,
2014).

SWOT Analysis of Foodmandu

Weakness
The main weakness of Foodmandu is that the food they deliver sometimes isnt warm and the
taste doesnt remain the same as in the restaurant. Sometimes due to traffic jam in Kathmandu,
the foods are not delivered on time. Sometimes there is misunderstanding between the caller
customer and company. For existence; Last week when I ordered like four different items from a
restaurant from Foodmandu, they delivered me just three items.

Opportunities
There are many opportunities for the company because they are linked with almost all the good
restaurants in Kathmandu valley. There are thousands of people that havent being familiar with
Foodmandu. More advertisement to the customer can lead to more sales of the services. There is
great opportunity for the company to go outside of Kathmandu valley.

Threats
The main threat of Foodmandu is that there might be a same kind of company with more
facilities and services. Customer loyalty is very important, once a mistake is found; the customer
can change their option. Another big threat of Foodmandu is that people might fraudulent call
them and order many foods for fake which gives huge loss to the company.

So that it reflect best practices of predefined business processes

bill payment through the website itself.

Conclusion
The online food deliver service is the main business of Foodmandu. They have made peoples
restaurant food consumption at their doorstep. People dont have to go to any restaurants to eat
the food but they can rather dial a number and order it in their home. So, I think Foodmandu has
been doing very good job.
