Here, I would like to brief you about MECHATRONICS engineering branch. It is a four year
engineering course, which contains the subject of mechanical, electrical, electronics, and computer as
well. This branch is available in only two colleges of the Gujarat, and our college is the first to introduce
this stream in the Gujarat a decade ago. As per the latest AICTE ranking it has got 99th rank

B.E project : Air muscle actuated humanoid hand ( PNEUMATICS )
• In this project we are introducing a new pneumatic actuator called air muscle and
using this actuator we are making a humanoid hand which will be able to hold
cylindrical and spherical object. So it is kind of material handling system in which
we are using controller, feedback system and Pressure Balancing Valve.
Contraption : worked successfully upon this project in techfest “i-MAZE”
held at GCET
• In this project we were provided a 3*2 meter square floor area in which we have
to use any kind of materials, scrap and to make a system that exhibit maximum
number of energy conversion and steps.
Co-Curricular Achievements
• Participated in an event ROBOTRON in techfest “TECHNOPHILE” held at GCET
• Attended a workshop on ROBOTRIX, TRI, IIT MUMBAI held at GCET
• Attended a workshop on E-TRIX, TRI, IIT MUMBAI held at GCET
• Attended a workshop on software PRO-E held at SVNIT, SURAT
• Regular participation in different events organized by IEEE and ISTE in different
colleges

• A treasurer of ISA (international society of automation) GCET Student Section
• Organized a 2 day technical symposium “AUTOMAZIONE ‘10” related to automation
under the support of ISA in our college for more than 400 students as well as faculties in
which some of the best automation companies were invited to deliver seminars on
different aspect of automation.
• Coordinated 2 events in the technical symposium i-MAZE held at GCET.
• One of the top 20 finalist in personality contest PRATIBHA’09 held at GCET
• Conceptualized, marketed and distributed a youth magazine “THE GRAVITY”
launched in various colleges of V V Nagar
• An active member of GCET project club named PRARAMBH
