Library List
Part 2 - By Topic

Notes:
This list has been written using Microsoft Office Word 2003, and is thus easily “searchable”. It can readily be converted to earlier
versions, hopefully without too much damage to the text.

This list is divided into three sections which I hope will ease the search for relevant works to collectors:
Section 1 – By Country, Region or Area
Section 2 – By Topic
Section 3 – By Author
This has resulted in multiple listings, which makes our Library seem larger than it really is. However, I am sure that there will be much
of use to our members, and should any new or missing works be apparent, please let me know. I have tried to insert books in logical
places, but where an additional listing appears to me to be superfluous, I have omitted it. For instance I have not listed books covering
the Boer War under Africa – South, nor have I listed books on Fieldposts under the individual countries. I have tried to take contents
into account, but bow to the superior knowledge of specialist collectors, and look forward to receiving corrections, suggestions or
brickbats ([Link]@[Link])

I have tried to include as much relevant information as possible, without wishing to overburden the list.

Please let the Librarian know of any errors. They will be mine, and I apologize for them in advance.

Conditions of loan:
1) Material from the Library is normally available for loan only to members in the United Kingdom.

2) Books and other materials will normally be lent for a period of four weeks which may be extended if the item is not required by
another member.

3) There is no charge for borrowing, but postage in both directions will be at the cost of the borrower. The FPHS reserves the right to
send rare or expensive books by any appropriate means which may include registered, signed for or special delivery, depending on
current Post Office practice. At a minimum, a Certificate of Postage must be obtained.

4) Loans will normally be sent by insured post (currently £0.75 up to £100) and returned books should also be similarly insured.

5) Small amounts may be refunded to the Librarian in current mint postage stamps. Cheques in payment should be made out to “NJ
MARTIN”.

6) All loans being returned must be securely packed in appropriate enclosures.

7) Photocopying of books is not permitted unless prior agreement of the Librarian has been received. This is to protect the author’s
copyright, and to prevent damage to items by bending.

8) Communication with the Librarian concerning loans should preferably be by Email [Link]@[Link]

9) The Librarian will do his utmost to provide accurate information about material in the Library, but it should be remembered that much
of the material is outside the Librarian’s scope of collecting interests.

10) The Library is available for consultation by appointment
