GreenTech-The Green City Planning
This is a mind challenging event that requires you to put all your imagination to design a city
that can live green, eat green and work green. Due to exponential population growth and
growing need of hour and vanishing forests and green areas, there is need to develop such
cities which meet the growing demand and as the sources report that waste generation per
capita in India is increasing every day.
As rightly said:
“You never change things by fighting the existing
reality. To change something, build a new model
that makes the existing model obsolete.”

It is estimated that in India, 2000 villagers move to the urban cities every day. To provide
space for this exponential growth in urban population, India requires expanding its urban
areas and working on making its present cities as green and sustainable as the time and
need calls for.
So its time for you to challenge your creativity let you design a green city from a series of
green houses to green city via green buildings. Enough of Farmville, City Ville on Facebook,
now it's time to let your imagination run greenishly wild as the city planner in you, design an
environment friendly city.
Let your mind play this battle where you have to work on your dream city's fine intricacies
and crannies, every little detail that is to make your city as much self-sustainable as possible.
Problem Statement:
This event invites you to challenge yourself to make your future green city.
Add life to your designs, empowered by your imaginations and creativity.
Design:-
1. Green buildings, then
2. Green colony with green technologies to complete your sustainable green city.
The event GreenTech comprises of two challenges and quality of your design will lead you to
the next challenge.
Here goes what you have to do in Challenge 1:
1. All entries should be mailed(to:[Link]@[Link]) with attached jpeg file of high
resolution of your designed green city along with a .doc,.docx,.txt,.pdf file clearly
explaining concept of your design and the technologies that you will use.
2. One group must send only one submission.
3. One group may contain maximum of 3 members.
4. Violating rules may lead to disqualification.
5. The first page of your submission must contain following details:
Group Name:
Names:
Year:
Branch:
College :
Place:
Contact no:
Email address:
Your design/submission should clearly convey your imagination and all the finer details
should be clearly visible.
You can design in any format like Google sketch Up,Photoshop,Corel Draw, etc.
Based on your design, you will be shortlisted for the next Challenge.
Last date for your first Challenge design submission is 11th September till 11:59pm.
The selected ones will be informed via mail for the next Challenge.
Challenge 2 requires the selected entries to submit their original .psd, .doc, .docx, .pdf,.skp
file or their original design file in any designing/drawing software attached with
.pdf,.txt,.doc,.docx file giving some raw data to justify your concept of sustainable green
city.
e.g.:- If your design includes solar panel instead of conventional electricity sources, so you
should justify that conventional electricity uses our non-renewable resources whereas solar-
panels use renewable. Thus it is green source of energy.
Similarly explain your concept with some details of your concept with data attached.
The time for shortlisted to submit their entries for final Challenge is 16th Sept, 11:59pm.
