IDEA 1:
Agriculture machine
Brief:
Designing and fabrication of an agricultural machine that does ploughing, seeding & irrigation
Scope
Can be used in agricultural dependent countries like india Pakistan Bangladesh etc. As opposed
to traditional methods that help save time, effort and the overall production of the crops can be
increased by mechanizing the process and make it more efficient.
As opposed to conventional tractors can do only one thing at a time whereas this machine
performs three tasks all by itself is capable so requires less equipment.
Reasons the idea was rejected:
Agriculture done in major crop production countries like Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, US and this
machine can be used in countries that cultivate crops so other regions of the world require
other solutions.
As major agriculture countries already have production of such equipment so competition is
present in these countries.
IDEA 2:
Vertical car Parking plaza
Brief:
Designing and fabrication of vertical rotary car parking plaza
Scope
With the increase in population comes increasing need of transportation and decrease in space so for
things of basic necessity like cars are becoming difficult to park so it presents a unique solution for
parking needs.
Reasons the idea was rejected:
Cost was the main factor for rejection as the project requires several necessities that are mandatory
Designing and analysis of the system is quite cumbersome as it should be able to sustain natural
disasters and weather.
Separate independent power source to operate
installation on site would be time and resource consuming because of the scale of the project.
Requires periodic maintainance for it to be operational and not pose a safety hazard.
that will increase cost.
IDEA 3:
Fire fighting robot
Brief:
Designing and fabrication of a fire resistant fire fighting remote controlled robot that can be used in
case of fire incident
Scope:
The robot could be used where the reach of the human could be impossible when fighting fires and
would help save lives of the fire fighters.
Reasons the idea was rejected:
Use limited to where applicable because of movement limitation and could even tip over and cannot be
used for very tall buidings.
IDEA 4:
Automatic car wash system:
Brief:
Designing and fabrication installation of automatic car wash machine
Scope:
Automating the car wash system is a need of the time as it helps to make the cleaning process
more time saving for both the customer and the owner and make it efficient in terms of
resources
Requires periodic maintainance.
IDEA 5:
Inventory seperation and rejection system
Brief:
Designing fabrication installation of an inventory separation and rejection system.
Scope:
Reduces the need of human resources to perform the operation of checking
Work can be done more speedy fashion as machine can process data faster than humans.
Used in companies that mass produce products.
Reasons the idea was rejected:
Frequent maintainance is compulsory as if the production stops, it effects the entire plant operation
Final Selection:
The group agreed on working on the automated car wash machine because of having more knowledge
relevant to this project relative to the others mentioned and personal interest.
