DTFT and DFT Relationship Explained

The document discusses the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) and its relation to the discrete-time Fourier transform (DTFT). It explains that the DFT provides a computationally efficient representation of the DTFT by sampling it at discrete frequency points. The DFT decomposes a sequence of values into components of different frequencies. The document provides the definition of the DFT and inverse DFT and includes examples of calculating the DFT of simple sequences.
