very funny.

connections does this inquiry question have to your life, academic and/ or career goals?

Probably a video editor. Videos are all around the internet. And are pretty much essential in
order to learn something new. I want to improve my video editing possibly up to a professional
level by learning and using different editing techniques and humor. Editors do get paid a lot by
youtubers.

from other editors who can give valuable insights on what I should improve on and what I’m
doing great on.

help others.

at the end of this project for evaluation. Write a one-page description outlining your
proposal.

1
Some questions I will investigate:
How to sync music to video properly,
How to make a scene funny or interesting,
How does one improve on video editing.
What goes into a video?

One video is approximately going to take around 3-4 days in order to make, possibly even
more depending on my work, school, and personal schedule in the way. As well as the time I
will need in order to research more about video topics, scripting, what things I will think and
investigate about.

The first video is going to explain what the channel is for, what kind of videos will be on there,
an introduction, showing how to make videos, equipment you need, Editing software, and
certain aspects you need in a video.

The second video would be something really easy that anyone could understand at first, and
something I could explain generally easy. Possibly a video diving into the aspect of syncing
music with video footage, and how depending on the music you choice it will change the tone
of the video.

Third Video would be something a bit harder, possibly the art of subtitles in a video, and how
to use them creatively and effectively. And possibly showing other examples of other
youtubers using subtitles effectively to engage their audience.

Some videos I could include are critiquing other youtubes and explain what they do effectively
in their videos. And even possibly explain how to recreate those aspects they include and how
to use them.

Other videos, would show how to tie all techniques together or how to use different techniques
in order to make a video look cleaner and nicer.

Final product, would be a fully functional YouTube Channel with good quality videos talking
about how to even make good quality videos. Videos would show different video editing
techniques and aspects.

Each video is going to explain a certain aspect of video editing. For example one video could
be on just synchronization of video and audio, another one could be on frames and how to
manage certain frames, or even how to add subtitles in order to capture more of the
audiences attention and understanding on the video. And possibly even one more video on
how to tie all those aspects together to make a clean cut video.

Resources/ Technology/Skills: Make an assessment of the resources, technology and

skills you will need to be able to complete this project. What is your plan to be able to
access/learn all of the resources necessary to achieve completion of this project? Detail
your plans.

2
Skillshare is a good website where you can learn about of editing techniques online and goes
very in depth how to do certain things using abode premier .
I need my computer in order to make the videos along with my editing software I will use.
I need to use my creative and critical Thinking in order to make a good quality video.
Think about how to include aspects of humor and synchronization.

Mentors/Community Connections: What types of mentor(s)/community connections will

you need to help you complete your capstone project? How will your mentor(s) help you?
What is your plan to access the mentorship/community connections necessary for this
project?

Could talk to a youtuber editor or even a professional video editor for sports or even social
media podcasters.
Many youtubers especially small ones detail their editor and leave their business email in their
description. Or even fiverr is a good site to hire a video editor

Project limitations: What are some project limitations and potential obstacles that you foresee
that might affect progress with your Capstone Project?

Possible time management, I do have a job that occupies me and also my 2 elective classes I
have this semester with this class.

Other considerations: List and detail any other related information/ considerations about
your project that you feel should be included in your project proposal.
