Second Semester Authentic Task
UNIT III: DANCE COMPETITIONS
Directions: Perform any of the dance style in Hip-hop and Social Dances. Read the given instructions and
rubrics below before you do the activity.
HIP-HOP
Objectives: The students should be able to execute some of the hip-hop dance styles.
1. Create a simple dance routine (Group: 2-3 minutes) (solo: 1minute) applying common styles in street
dance like popping and locking, shuffling, waacking etc.
2. Practice the basic steps in hip-hop
3. Make sure that you will apply the hip-hop culture through your music, attitude, and attire.
4. Observe utmost care while doing the activity to avoid injuries and do the following.
warm-up for 2 minutes
executing dance styles properly
observing safety measures at all times
5. Send a copy of your video via teams. (Always make sure that the file is working.)
Note that inability to send on the given deadline (December 8, 2021, Friday) will have a deduction
points.
6. Your performance will be graded according to the following criteria:

DANCE SPORT
Objectives: The student should be able to perform the basic steps of their chosen Latin or Standard Dance. Send
a copy of your video on MS Teams.
Instructions:
1. Master the basic steps of your chosen International Latin / Standard dance.
2. You can create your own choreography or just copy the basic steps of your preferred dance.
3. Send me a copy of your performance via PM here on Teams within this week.
Note that inability to send on the given deadline (December 8, 2021, Friday) will have a deduction points.
Note:
You can search the basic dance steps of Latin and Standard dance on YouTube.
The length of your performance should be 1minute and 30 seconds up to 2 minutes.

practice good posture
have a good attitude (smile once in a while, project your facial expressions)
