Dear Students,
HURRAY! IT’S TIME FOR FUN AND PLAY!
Here are some points that you must remember during the vacations-
✓ Appreciate Nature – Go for long walks in a park or garden with your family
and friends.
✓ Good manners are the key - Respect your parents, grandparents and all
elders. Use three magical words (Sorry, Please and Thank you).
✓ Stay Fit, Stay Healthy - Play your favourite game / sport regularly.
✓ Learn about our Heritage – Find some time to visit museums and
monuments. Read about them.
✓Save Nature – Contribute to save our precious environment. Minimize the
wastage of resources like water, fuel and electricity.
General Instructions:
1. Parents are requested to only guide their children while doing the assignment.
2. The homework should be done as per the instructions given. It should be
neatly labeled and the name, class, section of the child should be mentioned
clearly on the cover page. The holiday homework will be graded and is a
part of project ―Assessment Evaluation for students.
3. All work to be done in A4 size coloured/ white sheet. scrap file
4. Compile all the subjects holiday homework in one folder and decorate it as per
your own creativity.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, are a set
of seventeen interconnected objectives aimed at promoting sustainable development
across economic, social, and environmental dimensions. They were formulated in 2015
by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) as part of the Post-2015
Development Agenda, which sought to create a future global development framework to
succeed the Millennium Development Goals, a similar set of eight goals adopted in
2000 to address poverty, health, education, gender equality and other issues, which
ended that year. The Sustainable Development Goals are:
1. Ending poverty in all its forms everywhere.
2. Ending hunger, achieving food security, improving nutrition and
promotingsustainable agriculture
3. Ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages
4. Ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning
opportunities for all
5. Achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls
6. Ensuring availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all

skills and focus on growth.
Dear Parents,
This year we carry forward our endeavour to work and support UNSDGs. The students
are expected to work on a selected goal-―Life below water which will help them
engaged in creative work during the summer break. The Holiday Homework will
provide an opportunity to the students to make sincere efforts to ensure sustainability
and prosperity for the future.

WATER – A DEEP DIVE OF DISCOVERY

After reading this comic, students are required to create a small dictionary of their own,
developing on the theme of ―LIFE BELOW WATER. Write all the difficult words that
you have come across while reading with their meanings.
Important keys to make your dictionary—
The cover page of the dictionary can depict ―Ocean life.
Ocean life can be shown with the help of drawings, pictures and other creatives.
The pages inside the dictionary can be made attractive with images of water
animals and plants.
Decoration of the dictionary has to be according to the theme ―LIFE BELOW
WATER.

EVS Holiday Homework
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States, provides a shared
blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and
developing - in a global partnership.
Keeping this as an objective, the students are expected to work on projects and activities designed on theselected
goal-
"Life on land (Goal 15)", which will keep them engaged in creative and fruitful pursuits during thesummer break.
Assignment: Plant Seeds & Watch Them Grow
Plant any seeds (wheat, bean, moong, mustard etc.) and watch the growth of the seedlings as they
sprout from the seed while making sure to take proper care of them with just the right amount of
warmth and water.
Method:
Fill the container with soil. Plant seeds of same kind (Ex. Mustard, Tomato, Wheat, Bean, Moong) inside
the soil. Place the container somewhere, where it is warm, sunlight is good but try to avoid © too much
direct sunlight, a window sill is a good spot. Keep the soil moist by watering it every day (becareful not to
use too much water).
Note down the development of germination process. Collect the data in the given format.
