I. Introduction
1. Purpose of the subject: The course focuses on developing a range of essential skills to
enhance individual performance in both the workplace and daily life. Through learning team
communication, interview, and CV writing skills, participants have the opportunity to build
confidence and self-management skills. Additionally, the course addresses problem-solving,
emotional and stress management, self-discovery of career goals, and effective time
management. The overall purpose is to help participants develop comprehensively, from
personal skills to self-reflection and shaping career goals.
II. Body
1. Executive summary
a. Interpersonal skills
+ 4 Levels of Listening: listening occurs at different levels— Downloading, Factual, Empathic,
Generative. Moving towards attentive listening fosters better understanding.
+ Questioning Skills: effective questioning is an art. It involves asking the right questions to gather
information, encourage critical thinking, and promote meaningful dialogue.
+ Powerful Questions:these are thought-provoking and open-ended questions that stimulate deep
thinking, reflection, and richer responses.
+ Self-Communication - Be Authentic: involves expressing thoughts and feelings genuinely. It
fosters open and honest interactions.
+ Email Writing - Be Clear: concise email communication is essential. It ensures that the recipient
understands the message without confusion.
b. Interview skills & CV writing
+ How to write the cover letter or CV and the form of the CV should be.
+ Leverage the STAR technique by succinctly describing the Situation, Task, Action, and Results of your
experiences.
+ Maintain a positive attitude throughout, using confident body language and clear articulation. Believing in
your abilities and practicing common questions will enhance your overall confidence.
c. Self-Confidence & Assertive Skills
+ Self-Esteem and Assertiveness: recognize your worth, celebrate achievements, and nurture a positive self-
perception for overall well-being.
+ Feel positive and healthy: positive thinking and behavior can contribute to higher of self esteem

In my daily life, I find the application of various essential skills crucial for personal and academic growth.
Interpersonal skills play a significant role, as I actively engage in conversations with friends and teachers.
Through practices like active listening, understanding others, and displaying respect, I contribute to
fostering a positive communication environment.
When it comes to Interview Skills & CV Writing, I understand the importance of creating a positive
impression on potential employers. Therefore, I invest time in optimizing my CV to showcase my strengths
and achievements effectively, increasing my chances of success in job [Link] class exercises, I
prioritize the development of Self-Confidence & Assertive Skills. This involves expressing my opinions
clearly and confidently, particularly during collaborative activities that require effective communication.
These skills not only contribute to my academic performance but also prepare me for future professional
interactions. Participation in group projects, such as the statistics project, allows me to actively showcase
Teamwork Skills. Through active contribution, attentive listening to teammates' opinions, and collaborative

optimistic emotional state. This not only enhances my overall well-being but also positively influences my

discipline Self-control/Patience is an ongoing journey. Spending time in conversations with professors helps
me identify personal interests and career goals, contributing to my self-discovery. Patience and self-

Orientation is a pivotal aspect of my academic journey. Actively participating in the university's Job Fair and
researching industry trends and professions shape my understanding of potential career paths. This active
engagement aids me in making informed decisions about my future professional endeavors.
Lastly, Time Management Skills are essential for maintaining a balance between academic and personal
activities. Utilizing tools like calendars and schedules helps me prioritize study and work tasks efficiently,
ensuring a well-organized and productive daily routine.

I particularly appreciate three crucial lessons in this theme, namely Problem Solving & Decision Making,
Emotion & Stress Management, along with Self-discovery/Self-discipline Self-control/Patience.
The lesson on Problem Solving & Decision Making has helped me develop the ability to analyze situations
and make decisions confidently. This process not only aids me in tackling academic challenges but also
extends into daily life, fostering confidence and the capability to handle diverse [Link] Emotion &
Stress Management lesson provides me with profound insights into managing emotions and stress.
Understanding oneself enables me to efficiently cope with pressure, maintain a positive mindset, and
create conditions for success in both academics and professional endeavors.
Lastly, the Self-discovery/Self-discipline Self-control/Patience lesson is a journey of self-exploration and self-
management. Understanding personal values, goals, and self-control helps me sustain patience and

every facet of life.
4. Evaluation
This course is truly engaging with its new and dynamic approach. However, to attract more students, it
needs greater attention as only a few are currently participating. This can be improved by enhancing
promotion and creating stimulating factors to encourage more student involvement, thereby creating a
more vibrant and enriching learning experience.
