Introduction

A pleasant day to the person who will scan this portfolio of mine. My name is Norelyn

Morco Red, 24 years of age. One of the residents of Dela Paz Daraga, Albay. This portfolio is

the documentation of my remarkable experiences during the start up to the end of my Practice

Teaching Internship at Daraga North Central School, Bagumbayan Daraga, Albay. My

Teaching Internship started last February 13, 2023 up to April 13, 2023. The following are what

I’ve laearned throughout my 2 months of teaching internship journey.

“What greater joy can a teacher feel than to witness a child’s success? (Michelle L.

Graham) That is the quote that instill in my mind from the very first day that I chose this course

which is education up to this very moment. Whenever I was asked by my teacher before of

what I want to be when I get older I will always answered them without hesitation that I want to

be a teacher. Touching the hearts of people and opening the minds of children gives me joy

and contentment which money could not buy. Teaching is said to be the noblest profession of

all. Teachers greatly affect every child in any way. They serve as a role model among youths

and fountain of information where the learners acquire appropriate knowledge and skills for

their further development and to contribute to the progress of the society in which they belong.

A teacher is one who must be willing to serve others. Teaching is a special calling

intended to those who deserve satisfaction from seeing others learn and grow. As I look back

from my on field experiences I felt so happy and relieved that I met young learners who has big

dreams. I just realized how happy it is to be respected and looked up to by those kids whom

some dreaming to be like you someday. Teaching is a fulfilling job for me, because seeing

them happy makes my heart happier. I can say that this is the profession I ever dreamed of

and the calling of my duty to serve.

Student Teacher Prayer

Dear Lord,
Our God, whom created the world, the almighty source of knowledge and wisdom, above all
you are everything.
Lord, as I begin our day, I pray that you would fill us with your holy spirit. Please guide us
throughout the day. Please shower us with your abundance of blessings, love and joy in our
hearts. Protect us especially our loved ones from any harm and temptations.
I want to thank you for all the love, blessings and unique gifts you give to us.
Thank you for providing us all we need, for forgiving us from all our sins and for showing us our
that we are capable of loving despite of all the imperfections.
Thank you for guiding our family and protecting us from danger and evil.
Give me wisdom and strength to teach my students and do my job well.
Give me courage to teach them with love and patience and grace to cover my imperfections
because I believe that this is what you call me to do.
I am not perfect but I pray that may I teach them the things they need to know. Lord, please
bless my students with wisdom, understanding, and a heart that is excited to learn.
All I want is to help them shape their minds and future.
Please, help me to encourage the students to learn and help those who cannot cope with our
lesson. Stand beside me through each day, as I teach and guide my students and help me as
a teacher to find their light and way.
And so, I ask for your guidance, Lord that may I do my part, for characters and confidence and
happiness in my heart. This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Credo

I believe that the teacher has a great impact to a learner’s life.

I believe that every student has unique skills, talents and different ways of learning that

a teacher needed to foster.

I believe that a teacher must have a serenity to accept and appreciate each student

and love all the imperfections of the students.

I believe that a teacher must have caring heart, patience, understanding and always praise

the works of each student.

I believe that all children have an opportunity to learn and have the right to quality education.

I believe that education changes a man’s life.

I believe that successful classroom management lies behind the techniques, consistency and

fairness in the part of the teacher.

I believe in getting to know my students - strengths, weaknesses, likes, dislikes so that I will

give their individual needs and help them grow.

I believe in teaching through games. Games make students involved in the lesson and enjoy

learning.

I believe that a true educator must go beyond imparting general knowledge, developing

reasoning and thinking skills to his/her students. He/she must know the learning needs of each

student is unique and education is diverse.

And I do believe that education changes one’s life.
