INTRODUCTION
A combinational logic circuit consists of logic gates whose outputs at any time are determined
directly from the present combination of inputs without regard to previous inputs.
Combinational Logic Circuits are made up from basic logic NAND, Ex-OR gates that are
“combined” or connected together to produce more complicated switching circuits. These logic
gates are the building blocks of combinational logic circuits Combinational logic circuits can be
very simple or very complicated and any combinational circuit can be implemented with
only NAND and NOR gates as these are classed as “universal” gates

The figure 4.1 shows combinational logic circuits designed by NAND and Ex-OR gates
having A, B as input lines and Q showing output lines.
.
Using Bread Board/RIMS Trainer
Using Logic gates, you can implement the combinational operation on the Breadboard/RIMS
Trainer.
PROCEDURE
1. Take RIMS Advanced Electronic Trainer and apply 5V power supply from power supply
unit
2. There is a standard ports for input and output on the trainer, connect the gates as shown in
figure 4.1 for the desired operation.
3. Set various combinations of observation table with switches and fill observation table.
