The chosen students of BSED FIL 4B was deployed this day at Murong National High
School. The field students are studying Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Filipino.
They are Gemma Basconcillo, Erica Cadiente, Rhealyn Gallo, and Marjorie Magpale.
As their first day, they actively participated in symposium entitled Soap Making in
the morning while producing organic concoction and extracts in the afternoon held at
Murong National High School’s Multi-purpose hall participated by the Grade 10 and Senior
High School students.
October 24, 2022
Field study students were drawing lots to know who their Cooperating Teacher will
be. For them to start their observation on teaching and learning process. The following are
the Field study students together with their Cooperating Teacher.

Quezon (5th Period) and Grade VIII-Pira (6th Period) are the classes that Ms. Arrocena has.
During their break, Murong National High School’s Principal tour them to the various
school facilities present in them. From this, they noticed and aware of what school
environment does Murong has. These are the following:

Library
Counseling room at the Academic department
Canteen/cafeteria
Medical Clinic
Kiosk
Home economics Room

OCTOBER 25, 2022
I observe three groups of learners from different levels (Grade 7, Grade 8, and Grade
10). The learners does not only vary in physical appearance but also in their perspectives.
As I interview the learners, they differ in their interests and needs. Therefore, I conclude
that Grade 7 students play outdoor games like scrabble. While observing I also learned
from them that there are things that the students will make you love them.
The more I know about them, the more I am deeply in love with the profession I am
taking. Well in fact, I don’t want this profession because it’s the most difficult I’ve known.
Yet, the more they treat me like a real teacher, the more I am encouraged to be where I am
today.
OCTOBER 26, 2022
This was the first day of the First Quarterly examination of the Junior and Senior
High School students.
Learners have different abilities and through observation I noticed who are students
who performed well at Grade 10 Del Pilar. They are Relly Laud, Cristel Cachero. Ms.
Velasco, Ms. Ancheta, Ms. Villanueva, Mr. Sermise And Emy Jane. While learners who seem
to be behind are Mr. Buen, Alwyn and Mr. Samedara. Furthermore, my Resource Teacher
kept on shouting at gian because he is too loud while she is teaching. In the other hand, her
teaching strategies help strengthen, enrich and complement the community’s indigenous
teaching process.
OCTOBER 27, 2022
Second day of the learner’s First Quarterly Examination. Yet I have the observation
on the learner diversity: the community and home environment. Wherein I chose my little
brother named Justine Lloyd Naguerlin as my respondent to know his characteristics and
behavior when in the community. I also learned the different rules of his grandparents
implemented at home concerning their grandson’s studying. I also knew what are the
learners’ activities and behavior while at home.
OCTOBER 28, 2022
Creating an appropriate learning environment is vital on learners’ part view
because it inspires the student to come and learn in school. Moreover, I learned as I have
observed that I was thrilled to teach them on the next semester.
I was challenge because of their behavior. Some are matured yet others don’t have
respect towards their teacher. In short, this day I observed the Grade 10 Del Pilar on how
they manage their time, space and learning resources.

NOVEMBER O2, 2022

As a future teacher, I learned that classroom management routines are the backbone
of daily classroom life. These make the life of a teacher easier and meaningful. Based on
what I have observed today about my Resource Teacher, she discussed her lesson through
games. It is effective classroom routines because it ensures order and discipline to help the
students stay calm and focus on their tasks.
NOVEMBER 03, 2022
My Resource Teacher ask me to do a pretest for the Grade 10 class with 50 items.
While doing the pretest I also observed her class at Grade 8 Pira. Where classroom rules
are imperative and must be reinforced for learner’s safety and security.
NOVEMBER 07, 2022
Grade 10 Luna is where I knew that physical and professional aspects of classroom
management is important to us future teachers. Well in fact, I love the way how my
cooperating teacher because whenever she entered her class her students are eager to
learn. However, I noticed that she can’t handle her class because every class has a stupid
student except for Grade 8 Pira. Yet I learned different physical and personal classroom
management that would help the students learn.
NOVEMBER 08, 2022
Photocopying the copy of sarsuwela is what I did today. My resource teacher let me
do it while she taught the Grade VIII Pira students. I was eager to observed this day because
I realized that teachers are the ones who puts life in their lesson plan by using it as a guide
in her teaching-learning process. I also borrowed a lesson plan from my CT to look at the
different components of the miniscule curriculum and observed the planning,
implementing and evaluating. I am just disappointed because I didn’t observe my CT to
follow her lesson plan in one period.
NOVEMBER 09, 2022
As a future teacher, it’s important to be aware and have a knowledge in preparing
for teaching and learning. Because this day, I noticed that before my Resource teacher start
her lesson she will present the learning outcomes first. Honestly, this is where the effective
learning begins through setting clear expectations and learning outcomes. I’ve learned that
learning is the discovery of the personal meaning of ideas.
NOVEMBER 10, 2022
The learning outcome must be suited or aligned with learning competencies for the
teaching and learning effective. On the other hand, it was given the task to make the quiz of
Grade 8 Pira containing the elements of a poem or tula. Then, I noticed making quizzes
refreshes my mind especially this topic.
NOVEMBER 14, 2022
Based on my observation, K to 12 Curriculum focused more on outcomes, standards
and competencies. Realizing the importance of these guiding principles in teaching and
learning where DepEd promotes standards and Competency-Based teaching with its K to
12 Curriculum Guide.
In conclusion, it is also important that teachers must be able to have a mastery of
the art of questioning and reacting techniques to ensure the effective delivery of
instruction.
NOVEMBER 15, 2022
This day I observed the Grade 10 Quezon’s behavior wherein they are kind because
they are not noisy and they listen to you attentively. I observed that my Resource Teacher
let the students report the different mitolohiya to class. But then, the students are
knowledgeable enough to use it.
My Resource Teacher also let me judge their report and also their powerpoint
presentation. So I learned that they are not knowledgeable enough for the Do’s and Don’t’s
in making PPT.
NOVEMBER 16, 2022
Murong NHS has a learning resource center. They have a lot of books yet the space
is quite small. Despite of this, the books are organized based on subjects. They are also free
from dust and movements. From that reason that even if it is small, it is easier to access.
NOVEMBER 17, 2022
My Resource Teacher is not present today so we let her students did their task. This
is to write the guide questions to critic the piece of an essay. On the other hand, she told me
to write the quiz of the Grade 10 students and photocopy it after. Therefore, I learned that
students will be more attentive if she has the learning materials.
NOVEMBER 18, 2022
Sir Geness Budiongan’s subject is what I’ve observed today. His English subject class
at Grade 9 Aquino is all about Subject-Verb Agreement. From his strategy, I conclude that
students are active when you possessed it because they will easily remember it once you
teach them effectively.
NOVEMBER 21, 2022
Today, observing the Grade 10 Luna helps me understand why teachers are
important. It boosts their knowledge on how to retain the information and lesson in their
head. I am now aware that if students failed to understand prerequisite knowledge and
skills, teachers reteach until master them and this is what we called Formative assessment.
NOVEMBER 22, 2022
The head Department of JHS asked me to facilitate the class of Ma’am Julie as the
Science teacher. From there, assessment as learning means assessment is a way of learning.
Therefore, this is manifested when learners reflect on their own learning and make
necessary adjustments so that they have achieve deeper understanding. I also observed
that Grade 9 that assessments encourage students to take responsibility for their learning.
NOVEMBER 23, 2022
My resource teacher kept on asking questions while still teaching and students
assessing their own learning. So I decided to observed three classes as mentioned in the FS
book. Sir Jomelvi Sioco for English subject, literature for Sir Geness Budiongan while ESP
for Ma’am atherine Amores.
Therefore, I learned that all of them have assessment task that are aligned with their
learning outcome. And I adapt strategies and ideas on them.
NOVEMBER 24, 2022
Grade 10 students have their assessment today. The assessment tool used is
traditional called paper and pencil tests. This was used to measure learning in the cognitive
domain.
NOVEMBER 25, 2022
Grade VIII Pira students will be performing sabayang pagbigkas. Based on my
observations, there are learning outcomes that cannot be assessed by traditional
assessment tools. Where authentic/non-traditional/alternative assessment tools measure
learning outcomes like performance and product.
NOVEMBER 28, 2022
Today we judged the performance of the grade 8 Pira students on their sabayang
pagbigkas. They have a good performance because others possess a modulated voice
however others still need to develop. This is an interesting part of teaching because you
will knew them on what their strengths and weaknesses as first timers.
NOVEMBER 30, 2022
I borrowed a portfolio of my Resource Teacher to observe what contents does it
have. Portfolio is a purposeful collection of selective significant samples of students work
accompanied by clear criteria for performance which proves students’ effort, progress or
achievement.
Therefore, I learned the significance of portfolio because it is an international
collection of work guided by learning objectives.
DECEMBER 1, 2022
The topic of my Resource Teacher here is Filipino subject. I notice that she is
knowledge enough about the different cognitive processes. She also let me photocopy their
activity about the lesson. From there, she strains her questioning from remembering to
creating and metacognition and self-system thinking. And this was a good point.
DECEMBER 7, 2022
This day the students write their own kind of Dagli because the teacher’s lecture is
already done and polished. My Resource teacher already taught the lesson effectively. Not
like my professors in my first to third year college years, they jump to assessment without
even lecturing it to us. So, I can conclude they are more blessed than us.
DECEMBER 12, 2022
This day I answered the activity on reporting students performance. Why does
students grades must be reported to parents? Because it’s a way on how to know what does
student capable of. Where grades fulfill their function if reported meaningfully to students
and most of all to parents in the education of children.
DECEMBER 14, 2022
Today, I conducted a survey entitled the “Competencies of the Professional Teacher:
A Special Case.” I let the co-teacher of my CT and the Head Dept. to answer the
checklist/rating scale about sample teacher. Then I conclude, that she is a real professional.
DECEMBER 15, 2022
This day is the awarding of certificates to the winners on School-Based Journalism.
From the results, truly that teaching is one of the most respected and trusted professions.
However, with the change in global landscape, the 21 st century teachers must have the
competence to address the new learning contents, the processes of learning and how these
are facilitated and the new types of learners.
DECEMBER 16, 2022
Year End and Thanksgiving at Murong National High School. The filed study
students joined the program in the morning session for the students while in the afternoon
are the school administrators and staffs.
JANUARY 4, 2023
The current classroom I am observing have significant parts like the doors,
windows, teacher’s table, demonstration table, cabinets, chalkboard, bulletin board
displays and equipment together with plant boxes.
I was inspired to teach in my Practice Teaching Journey because they have a warmth
atmosphere in their classroom.
JANUARY 5, 2023
As my Resource Teacher ask me to do an assessment on Grade 8 and the topic are all
about tula, sarsuwela, balagtasan, malayang taludturan and maikling kuwento.
On teacher’s philosophy of education, teachers have to write their concept of the
nature of the learner on how the learner learns and how that learner ought to live life
meaningfully.
There, the philosophical concepts teachers describe how they ought to relate to the
learner what to teach and how to teach so that the learner learns and lives life happily and
meaningfully.
JANUARY 9, 2023
I did my lesson plan on pagsusulat ng sanaysay na may saysay. However, our
department head let me be the one who facilitate the class of Sir Geness at Grade 9 Silang,
Grade 9 Aquino and Grade 9 Magbanua in their English subject because Sir has an
appointment.
JANUARY 10, 2023
We didn’t observe today our respective classes because we are all busy with the
preparation of our return demo. In fact, they all approved. Because of this we have time for
preparation and master the content of our lesson plan.
JANUARY 11, 2023
I did my dry run today at Grade 10 Luna on Pagsusulat g Sanaysay na may saysay.
JANUARY 12, 2023
All the sacrifices and hardships paid off. My return demo was done on time. I was
blessed that I did it successfully through the help of Almighty, school administrators and
staffs and loved ones. Thank y’all
