Though the employees were so busy with their official activities, they gave me time and
information that I needed to complete the term paper. I would like to thank all of the staffs of
Employment Section for their help. of course, I am very gratitude to my supervisor for his

this term paper.

and comprehensive one.
Abstract
It is very much important to agree that the practical knowledge with the
practical one. This is because the academic knowledge is not enough to
match the real life situation. This Term paper is a partial requirement for the
Bachelor of Business Administration. As a part of the internship program, I
was placed at General Banking Department of Bank Asia Limited, MCB
Dilkusha Branch, and Dhaka. During the three-month long term paper I have
learned a lot about general banking & HR activities operations of this bank.

Bank Asia Limited is a largest private commercial Bank which is one of the
most popular banks in Bangladesh. The Bank started its operation from 27 th
November, 1999, during this time it has improved its image in the society as
a commercial Bank. Now it has 44 branches in Bangladesh. Bank Asia
Limited conducts all types of commercial banking activities. The core
business of the bank comprises of import, export, working capital finance
and corporate finance. The bank is also rendering personal credit, services
related to local and foreign remittances. The “Personal Credit” scheme of the
bank, which is designed to help the fixed income group in raising standard of
living is competitively priced and has been widely appreciated by the
customers. The bank’s strategy is to gradually cover the total arena of
banking.

Based on my knowledge & practical experience I have made this report. I


have surveyed questionnaire among 15 people who are more or less
associated with performance appraisal. I have prepared my report based on
information & data supplied by HR department of BAL. I have also personally
tried to collect information regarding `this particular topic. I have tried to use
various source like internet, field data, and questionnaire.

In my term paper work I have tried to find out some significant problems and
come up with some effective recommendations that might help the authority
to overcome those problems as well as increase their performances and
effectiveness by making smooth the way to achieving the organization’s
vision.
