Describe your hometown


I'm really proud of my hometown and I would love to tell you about my
hometown. My hometown is Hanoi – the capital of Vietnam which located in
the center of the Red River Delta. Hanoi is known for its rich cultural heritage,
historical landmarks, and diverse cuisine. Because of that, Hanoi attracts
millions of tourists from all over the world every year. In Hanoi, you can
experience a range of weather, from hot and humid to cool and dry. Coming to
Hanoi capital, we cannot ignore attractive tourist destinations such as ho chi
minh mausoleum, or Bat Trang Pottery Village and Hoan Kiem Lake - one of
the most famous landmarks in Hanoi. Besides, Hanoi is also famous for its
special dishes such as: pho, bun cha, banh mi…Trying them definitely makes
you unforgettable. But most love is people in here. Hanoi people are very
friendly and open. When I got lost, they helped and supported me as much as
possible. Not only that, the local people are also very industrious and hard-
working. To me, Hanoi is a beautiful, poetic, and well worth living city.
2. Describe a person you would like to study with
My best friend, Huong, is the one that I always want to study with. Huong has
been my best friend since we were in secondary school. She's a short and slim
young girl with bright skin and curly dark hair. He has brown big eyes in an oval
shiny face. Huong is very extrovert. She's also got a great sense of humor, and
she always makes me laugh. I have a lot of fun when I study and play with her.
During the weekends, we spend hours doing our homework and preparing for
new lessons. I study Chinese and her study Math. But she is very interested in
Chines so I often teach her some Chines. We always have a have a good time. In
our free time, we often come to the library and borrow some interesting books.
The reasons I want to study with Huong is she is a serious student. She studies
hard and always wants to do well. Therefore, when I study with her, I feel
motivated. In addition, she is also a reliable and helpful friend that I can share
everything about my studies without feeling embarrassed. Overall, Huong is
definitely a perfect partner that I would love to study with.
3. Describe your memorable holiday
I gonna talk about my most memorable holiday. It took place around 2 years
ago. I went on a trip to Da Nang by car with my family for 2 days. On the way
to Da Nang, the outside was warming and sunny. In the afternoon we arrived in
Da Nang, rented a comfortable villa then arrived to Hoi An ancient town. The
scenery was beautiful and poetic. We took some photos and bought some
souvenirs together. In addition, we also took a cyclo to see the streets and ate
some delicious dishes such as banh beo, my quang. After that we went to visit
Ba Na Hills. Coming here, we visited beautiful Golden bridge and walked
thought the romantic flower garden. We spent a half of day here to sightseeing,
take photos and enjoy outdoor celebrations. Apart from them, we also went to
My Khe beach, enjoyed Hue folk songs. But most love was the staff and local
people. They were very friendly and amazing. When I got lost, they helped and
supported me as much us possible. That was my most memorable moment in my
holiday. In the evening, we had dinner at a seafood restaurant. We ate crab, fish,
shrimp and snail. The dishes were really fresh and delicious. After eating, we
went back to the hotel to play "Truth or dare". We laughed and had a good time
in Da Nang. When we felt tired and we rested to prepare for the next day. My
trip to Da Nang was fun and enjoyable. I would back here again as soon as.
4. Tell about Your great weekend
I gonna talk about my great weekend. Most of us get a weekend off. I always do
daily and weekly planning. But this weekend is my birthday weekend, as a result
I invite my relatives to my home for dinner to celebrate my birthday. That meal
had lots of dishes made by my mom such as: pan cake, spring roll, fish soup…
They were really delicious. Throughout the dinner, we spoke about a lot of
things – going back into memory lane. We discussed present careers and future
plans as well. Besides, my relatives and family also gave me a lot of sound
advices. We laughed and had a good time. I really appreciated that. Overall, I
had a great sense of gratitude towards my family and relatives. They were
always beside me. That weekend was really great and enjoyable.
5. Tell about activities that you like doing at the weekend
I gonna talk about an activity that I like doing at weekends. My favorite activity
at weekend is cooking. I started love cooking when I was a sophomore student.
At that time, I came to Hanoi for my education, as a result, I had to be
independence and did everything by myself. I realize that culinary skills play an
important role in my life. There are so many reasons why I enjoy cooking at
weekend. First, cooking is a great way for me to enhance my mood. It makes me
happy and helps me relieve stress. Secondly, cooking also enables me to expand
my creativity. I spend hours of my weekend to gain more knowledge about
different cooking methods. Last but not least, cooking is a basic skill to keep
healthy and I can save up some money by cooking myself. I think I will carry on
cooking whenever I have free time. Overall, I think cooking is a good activity at
weekend. I encourage everyone to make cooking, especially healthy cooking
become a part of their weekends.
6. Tell about your favorite sport
I would like to talk about my favorite sport, which is swimming. I first knew
about it when I was 10 years old. My mom thought that I should learn to swim at
an early age so that I wouldn’t drown in the water. Nowadays, I still keep the
habit of going to the swimming pool whenever I have free time with my sister.
There are so many reasons why I love swimming. First, swimming is one of the
most effective ways to keep my body in top condition and keep healthy. It is a
total-body exercise that develops muscles and burns calories. Secondly,
swimming also gives me a great sense of achievement and challenge. Last but
not least, swimming is a great way for me to enhance my mood. It makes me
feel calmer, happy and help me relieve stresses of my study and daily life.
Overall, I think swimming is a fascinating sport. I encourage everyone to
participate in this sport. Swimming will forever be my favorite sport.
