Rules and Regulations for all Participants

1 Reporting time for all participants will be 4.30 pm on Saturday 22nd February 2025.

2 Check in at the main gate and confirm your attendance.

3 The participants can collect their refreshment coupons from the Registration

Counter.
4 The participants need to be seated in their respective places as assigned to them.
Please do not loiter in the premises.
5 Each participant is required to bring his/her song in a Pen drive.

6 The competitions will be held in the following sequence.

A Solo Singing Competition

B Solo Dance Competition


C Fancy Dress Competition

D Group Dance Competition

1 Rules and Regulations for Solo Singing Competition

A) Song selection
 Participants can choose any song in any language but the song must not contain
slang or derogatory language nor hurt any religious or national sentiments.
 The duration of the song should be between 2 – 3 minutes.
B) Performance Style
 Participants will not be allowed to refer to lyrics while singing

 Participants will be judged on their diction, intonation, vocal quality,


rhythmic interpretation and dynamics

C) Attire
 Participants need to be dressed appropriately.
 Indecent exposure will not be allowed.

2 Rules and Regulations for Solo Dance / Group Dance Competition

A) Performance time

• The performance time will be between 2 – 4 minutes for solo dance and 3 - 5 minutes
for group dance.
• Exceeding the time limit may result in a deduction in marks.

B) Costume requirements
• Participants should dress modestly and avoid indecent exposure.
• Participants should come with their own costumes.

C) Judging criteria
• Judges will evaluate participants on rhythm, formation, expression,
costumes, makeup and overall effect.
• Judges will also evaluate participants on technique, footwork, and general impression.

D) Other Rules
 Songs should be decent.
 Participants will not be allowed to use fire, water, or any other hazardous materials
3 Rules and Regulations for Fancy Dress Competition

A) Costume:
 Costumes should be age-appropriate, safe, and respectful to all cultures. They
should also be creative and unique.

B) Props:
 Small, handheld props may be allowed, but they should not be dangerous or
hazardous.

C) Performance:
 Participants will be required to perform a short monologue or narration.

D) Judging criteria:
 Participants will be judged on their creativity, presentation skills, and how well
they portray their character.

The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
