What is the cyber world?

The cyber world refers to the virtual environment created by computers, the internet, and
digital communication. It encompasses everything online, such as websites, social media,
emails, gaming platforms, and more.
• What are the main features of the cyber world and
how can we use these features?

1. Connectivity
o Enables instant communication through social media, emails, and messaging
apps.
o Helps connect people globally.
2. Access to Information
o Provides vast resources for learning, research, and entertainment.
oUseful for studying, problem-solving, and staying updated.
3. Online Services
o Offers convenience in shopping, banking, and booking services.
o Saves time and effort by performing tasks online.

• Give three (3) dangers on the Internet and explain

how each one can harm you.

 Cyberbullying

 Can cause emotional distress, low self-esteem, and anxiety.

 May lead to social withdrawal or academic decline.

 Identity Theft

 Criminals can steal personal information to access bank accounts or make purchases in
your name.
 Leads to financial loss and damage to your reputation.

 Malicious Software (Malware)

 Viruses, ransomware, or spyware can harm your computer or steal sensitive data.
 Causes system crashes, data loss, or privacy breaches.

• How useful is the Internet in your daily life? Does it

always benefit you?

The internet is extremely useful for learning, staying connected, entertainment, and completing
daily tasks efficiently. For example:

 It helps with research for school projects.

 Allows instant communication with friends and family.
 Makes shopping, banking, and studying more convenient.

However, it doesn't always benefit you. Overuse can lead to:

 Distractions: Reduced productivity due to excessive gaming or social media.
