o Introduce the concept of permutation as the arrangement of objects
in a specific order.
o Differentiate permutation from combination, emphasizing that order
is crucial in permutation.
Activity:
o Divide the class into groups and ask them to solve the pre-test
questions from the module.
o Discuss the answers as a class, clarifying any misconceptions.
Discussion:
o Discuss the different types of permutations:
o Permutation of n objects taken all at a time
o Permutation of n objects taken r at a time
o Distinguishable permutation
o Circular permutation
o Explain the formula for each type of permutation.
Assessment:
o Assign a short quiz to assess students' understanding of the
concepts covered in the lesson.
Day 2:
Review:
o Briefly review the concepts of permutation and the different types.
Problem Solving:
o Present real-life examples of permutation problems from the module
(e.g., arranging potted plants, seating people around a table,
assigning tasks to students).
o Guide students through the steps of solving these problems:
o Analyze the problem and identify the given data.
o Identify the type of permutation.
o Apply the appropriate formula.
o Solve the problem and answer the question.
Activity:
o Provide activity sheets with various permutation problems for
students to solve individually or in pairs.
Discussion:
o Discuss the solutions to the activity problems, emphasizing the
different approaches and strategies used.
Day 3:
Review:
o Review the steps involved in solving permutation problems.
Address: 67F5+8P2, Road, Iligan City, Lanao del Norte
Contact No.: 0965-428-7643

Practice:
o Assign more complex permutation problems from the module for
students to solve in groups.
o Encourage students to use different methods and strategies to solve
the problems.
Discussion:
o Discuss the solutions to the practice problems, highlighting the
importance of careful analysis and accurate application of formulas.
Assessment:
o Assign a short quiz to assess students' ability to apply the
permutation concepts and formulas to solve problems.
Day 4:
Real-Life Applications:
o Discuss real-life examples of permutation problems beyond the
module (e.g., arranging books on a shelf, choosing a password,
selecting a team).
o Encourage students to share their own examples.
Activity:
o Divide the class into groups and ask them to create their own
permutation problems based on real-life scenarios.
o Have groups present their problems and solutions to the class.
Discussion:
o Discuss the different ways permutations are used in everyday life
and the importance of understanding this concept.
Day 5:
Review:
o Review the key concepts and formulas covered throughout the
week.
Assessment:
o Administer a summative assessment to evaluate students'
understanding of the topic.
o The assessment can include multiple-choice questions, short answer
questions, and problem-solving tasks.
Wrap-Up:
o Discuss any remaining questions or areas of confusion.
o Encourage students to continue exploring the concept of
permutation and its applications in other areas of mathematics and
real life.
Differentiation:
For students who need additional support:
o Provide extra practice problems with step-by-step solutions.
o Offer individual tutoring or small group sessions to address specific
areas of difficulty.
o Use visual aids and manipulatives to help students understand the
concepts.
